So many award winners are from our District. Congratulations to them all, they are truly deserving individuals. Bravissimo! Early Signs of Spring Generous Donation provides for Classroom Improvements The O'Zone at Laurelglen School recently upgraded its furniture and technology, thanks to a generous donor. New furnishings in Mr. O'Connor's 5th/6th combination classroom include tables, chairs, projectors, and a white board. The 30"x54" tables accommodate a pair of students and provide plenty of work space for Elementary Music Specialist: Melissa Nixon Classroom Teacher: Brenda Fitzpatrick Band Educator: Brad Pickett General Music Educator: Bonnie Hulse Orchestra Educator: Annalise Perone Let's add to that list: Both Amanda Sproul, Thompson and Jeremy Martin, Stonecreek are Jim Burke Ford Nominees. Jeanette McGrath (pictured at left), is CMEA State Outstanding General Music Teacher; Regina Pryor, CMEA Membership won a National Award for increasing the CMEA California membership more than any other state; and the Strolling Strings Team for their outstanding presentation at CASMEC - Teresa Rizo, Audrey Boyle, Annalise Perone and Regina Pryor. As a special engagement, many of our District Music Educators provided entertainment during the "Presentations" portion of the March 24 Board of Trustees' meeting. Click here for a short clip of their projects as well as for laptops, iPads, book holders, and supply drawers. Each student can adjust the height of the comfortable wheeled chair to meet his/her preference. Turning to collaborate or to see projected images has become a snap and an ergonomic improvement over the standard chairs. Two barely audible Epson 580 UltraShort Throw projectors sit underneath the white boards and toss up big, bright, sharp images that every student can read, even with all of the overhead lights on. Finally, the center-mounted 5'x8' white board supplies enough area for a 100" diagonal image. Mr. O'Connor states, "All of these improvements are positive additions to our educational experience. We welcome visitors!" performance. Congratulations to our outstanding Music Educators for their dedication and service to the students and the entire P-BVUSD community.
