Welcome to Sebring!
Congratulations on an outstanding season and welcome to Sebring and the 2016 Florida
Dixie Youth Baseball AAA and Ozone State Tournaments. The tournament will be held
at Max Long Complex beginning Saturday, July 16th. We will begin with a special Opening
Night Team Banquet on Friday, July 15th.
Mandatory Team Check-in

Team Banquet
A special Team Banquet will be held for all players and coaches at the Highlands Today
Center in downtown Sebring from 6-8 pm on Friday, July 15th. Only players, coaches,
and Dixie Youth Officials may attend this event. There is no cost for teams to attend this
event; however, each team is expected to be present. The Highlands Today Center is
conveniently located near other restaurants where parents and fans may choose to eat.

Mandatory Credentials Meeting
Friday, July 15th at 8:00 pm. All team managers and coaches must attend.
Facilities
All games will be played at the Max Long Baseball Complex located at 100 YMCA Lane,
Sebring, FL 33875. Our facility includes four game fields and two batting cages.
There are also additional fields that will be available for team practice. Scheduled practice
slots will be available to teams until Tuesday of the tournament in order to provide an
2 opportunity for all teams to practice. Coaches will be able to sign-up for practice slots at
team check-in and throughout the tournament. The official team practice schedule will be
posted for coaches at the credentials meeting.
Covered bleacher seating is provided at each field with ample room to set up chairs and
tents as well. No tents should be set up immediately behind the backstop.
A full concession stand will be running with lunch and dinner specials throughout the
tournament.

Gate Fees
A gate fee of $7 will be assessed each day for everyone age 12 and older, with $1 for each
entry on Saturday going to the Florida Dixie Youth Baseball Scholarship Fund. There will
tournament passes for sale Friday at the opening ceremony and Saturday at the gates for
$25. Advance purchase of passes can be submitted by July 11th on the enclosed form.
Players and coaches (three per team) will be provided with free gate passes (at team
check-in). No one will be allowed to sit outside the complex fence and watch games
without paying.
Official Tournament Programs and T-Shirts
A souvenir program will be available for purchase for $8. T-shirts will be available for
$13. Programs, passes, and t-shirts will be available for a discounted pre-order price. A
preorder form is included with this packet. All preorders will be packaged for the team
and distributed at the team check-in. Sebring Youth Baseball advises all teams to consider
placing a pre-order, as it will guarantee that you are able to purchase the items, and you
will receive a cheaper price. All items will also be available for purchase at the Highlands
Today Center before the Team Banquet and at the park throughout the tournament,
while supplies last.
Pre-orders and payment MUST BE RECEIVED by Monday, June 11th. Copies of all orders
should be sent via e-mail to sebringyouthbaseball@gmail.com. Payment should be mailed
to PO Box 1178, Sebring, FL 33871. We will send a confirmation when orders are received.

verify that we have received your order. Orders received after that will not be packaged
for pick-up at check-in

Our program will include business ads from our area and good luck wishes to players
and teams. If you or your business would like to place an ad in the program, please
forward artwork, pictures, ad slicks or questions to Sebring Youth Baseball VP, Lindsay
Lynch at sebringyouthbaseball@gmail.com. Prices for ads are as follows:

No coolers of any kind may be brought into the complex at any time during the tournament.
There will be a team cooler of ice water provided in each of the dugouts, however, if a team
requests something other than water and provides the powdered mix, a tournament official will
see that the product is mixed and placed in the dugout.

There will be no alcohol allowed in the complex and any party found in possession while on the
premises (parking lot included) will be removed from the complex for the remainder of the session
and possibly banned for the remainder of the tournament.

NO OUTSIDE FOOD OR DRINKS may be brought into the complex at any time during the
tournament.

Guests are not allowed to ride skateboards, bicycles, whip sticks, or other similar items inside the
complex.

Any party asked to leave or removed from the complex must leave immediately and remain
outside the premises (parking lot included) for the remainder of the game. Failure to do so could
lead to party being banned for the remainder of the tournament.

Coaches, we will have two tables for the check-in process. In previous years, we have found that coaches
often delegate some of the duties to a Team Parent. In an effort to streamline the check-in process this
year, we have divided check-in into two tables. The Team Manager MUST complete the official team checkin process listed above under “Team Check-in.” The items listed under “Team Parent Check-in” may be
completed by the Team Manager or a Team Parent designee. We do ask that you only designate one Team
Parent.
11 South Florida State College EMS students will be hosting a first aid tent on site at Max Long Complex.
