Stevenson Motorsports Debuts New Chevy Camaro with a Bang at Sebring
Sebring, FL (March 14, 2014) – There were no new car blues to overcome for
Stevenson Motorsports as drivers Robin Liddell and Andrew Davis piloted their
team’s brand-new #6 Chevrolet Camaro Z28.R to the victory in the second
round of the 2014 IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge, held at Sebring
International Raceway. After starting fourth on the grid the team ran in the top five
during the early stages of the event before Liddell swept around the outside of
the leaders to claim the top spot on a restart just before the halfway point. Liddell
and Davis went on to lead the remaining laps to register the proud victory, which
marked the first triumph for the Chevrolet Camaro Z28.R in series competition.

Ageless Buzzie Reutimann Conquers East Bay Modified Feature Gibsonton,
FL (March 8, 2014) – 73-year-old racer Buzzie Reutimann once again showed the
youngsters how it’s done as he added another feature triumph to his long-standing
list of accolades accumulated throughout his storied career. The Zephyrhills,
Florida native took advantage of his outside front row starting spot for the feature
at East Bay Raceway Park. Reutimann snagged the lead at the drop of the green
flag on the 15-lap affair, and repelled various challenges to score his first win of
the 2014 season at the 1/3 mile oval!

Ricky Thornton Jr. Too Much for Competitors at Cocopah Speedway
Somerton, AZ (March 15, 2014) – Another event, another track and another hardearned victory for Chandler, Arizona competitor, Ricky Thornton. The talented,
young driver raced to his seventh victory of the season at Cocopah Speedway in
the IMCA Open Wheel division. Passing cars would be no challenge for Thornton
throughout the night. He even started the evening by winning his heat race from
the seventh starting spot before screaming through the field (from the twelfth
starting spot in the main event) to score the victory in the #5m Madrid Motorsports
Modified.
The Mint 400
Dr. Macrae Glass Victorious Again Claims Coveted Mint 400 Title Las Vegas,
NV (March 15, 2014) – The General Tire Mint 400 presented by Polaris has held
the title of the toughest, most spectacular off-road race in North America since
1967 when it was first run; here, Dr. Macrae Glass added yet another Class 8
title in the illustrious event to his trophy case. Despite seeing the largest turnout
of off-road vehicles to ever enter the event, the Kingman, Arizona native outran
all challengers to claim the victory on the grueling course, comprised of a one
hundred mile loop of the most treacherous rock, sand, silt and terrain that Nevada
has to offer.

IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge
Randy Pobst Bests IMSA Competitors for Sebring Triumph in ST Class
Sebring, FL (March 15, 2014) – Randy Pobst returned to Florida over the weekend
for round two of the IMSA Continental Tire SportsCar Challenge championships at
Sebring International Raceway and made his trip more than worthwhile by topping
the Street Tuner (ST) class. Randy and his new Freedom Autosport #26 Mazda
MX-5 team, with co-driver Andrew Carbonell, started the week extremely strong
with fast speeds in practice and a fourth starting spot via their qualifying effort. Due
to disqualifications from three of the five top cars, Randy started the race on the
outside pole. After a dicey start, while racing with slower GS cars, Pobst raced his
way into the top spot. The team made their mandatory pit stop for driver change
part way through the race, and Carbonell assumed driving duties and held the
lead for their first team victory for 2014.
