Reins of Life is a non-profit corporation, serving the tri-state area, providing therapeutic horseback
riding for children and young adults with special needs, including spina bifida, down syndrome,
autism, cerebral palsy, speech, vision and hearing disabilities.
Stretching mind and muscles, therapeutic horseback riding produces remarkable benefits, and
is recognized by medical professionals as one of the most progressive forms of therapy, gaining
recognition world-wide. Benefits include improved balance and coordination, muscle-tone, and body
strength. Riders also enjoy the benefits of improved self-confidence, self-esteem and independence.

To provide a pleasant and natural
environment towards enhancing the
physical, emotional, and cognitive
abilities of disabled children and
young adults through the experience
of equestrian therapy.
Scholarship Fund:
Since launching the Reins of Life
children’s scholarship fund, families
in financial need have been able to
receive benefits. The scholarship
fund helps meet the families financial
needs while the therapeutic riding
meets the physical, social and
emotional needs of the children
and young adults who participate.
We need help to offer scholarship
funds to families in need whose
children would otherwise be unable
to benefit from this valuable therapy.
