• Reselling of mobile prepaid at Pi1Ms
• Started pilot at 12 Pi1Ms in Sabah in April 2014.
• In June, will expand to remaining Pi1M in Sabah &
Sarawak.
• In July, roll out at Pi1M in Peninsular Malaysia.
• Upgraded version will be launched at the end of May
2014.
• Will have links to more e-applications for community.
• Customized to suit community’s profile and needs.
• More interactive and can help managers achieve their
KPIs more easily i.e. online reporting.

merchants through Pi1M by Dec 2014.

and magazines via their own devices.
• May consider providing dedicated tablets at Pi1M with more
contents.

• May offer six types of banking services where Pi1Ms will earn
a certain percentage.
• Pilot targeted in mid 2014 at 10 Pi1Ms.
• Pi1M managers act as marketing agent for umrah
packages where Pi1M will earn a certain percentage.

• May act as Celcom’s cash-out remittance agent

1. Manpower
 High turnover rate (40%).
 Most have IT background but
lack entrepreneurial and
business drive.
 Pi1M managers are already
overloaded with present tasks
and reporting obligations.

2. Profitability
 High monthly operating cost ie
salary, bandwidth charges,
maintenance and upkeep of
premise.
 Current services do not bring in
sufficient revenue.
3. Pi1M readiness
 Pi1M is only designed for
internet access and acts as
training centers but may not
be suitable for expanded
scope.
