Doc Details Author(s) Type of Plan Summary Infrastructure planning strategy The study seeks an understanding of public boating demands in the shire and recommends appropriate facilities. 33 Walpole-Nornalup National Park Management Plan 1992-2002 Final 1992 February CALM Management plan Management stipulates that Coalmine Beach area is to be redeveloped as a low-key caravan park, coastal access will be rationalised and improved and Park boundaries are to be extended. Maintaining the progression of dieback into coastal areas is another important issue for future planning. 111 Leschenault Peninsula Conservation Park Management Plan 1999 - 2009 Final 1999 National Parks and Nature Conservation Authority Management plan The key management issues addressed in the plan are zoning (natural environment and recreational zone), native flora and fauna, rehabilitation and regulating recreation in sensitive areas, further development of facilities, extending public access to include foot and vehicle access. It also aims to protect sensitive estuarine vegetation on the eastern shore by restricting sites for boat-landing and remove redundant infrastructure and debris that presents a hazard to public safety. 29 Leeuwin Naturaliste National Park Management Plan 1989 - 1999 Final 1989 April CALM Management plan New subdivisions sort after by the WAPC will be considered by CALM in light of their impact on the Park. Under review, draft released in May 2005 1988 January CALM Management plan The plan reflects the increase in visitor demand, especially in two wheel drive access to the coast and planning for increased facilities such as for camping (encouraged for Windy Harbour and Camfield) and Park information. However access and development should be considered in relation to their effect on the environment, particularly degradation, disease protection, wash down areas and education. CALM is currently drafting a revised management plan, which has been released for public comment. 4 Shannon D'Entrecasteaux National Parks Management Plan C AL M P R O G R A M Department of Transport P L A N N I N G 1996 M a y C O A S TA L Final 131 Ta b l e 1 6 368 Boating Facilities Study for the Shire of Augusta Margaret River S o u t h - We s t C o a s t a l P l a n n i n g D o c u m e n t s 2 0 0 4 / 0 5 Status of Coastal Planning in Western Australia 2004/05 Report Plan/Strategy Author(s) Type of Plan Summary D PI Investigation An investigation into the coastal erosion threatening the popular recreational campsites south of Busselton. It encompasses relevant coastal considerations of the Leeuwin Naturaliste Region Plan, Stages 1and 2. This document is due to be reviewed, based upon the identified need to do so every 5 years, and the need for the policy to reflect current government position. DPI Region scheme This draft document will provide statutory effect to many of the land use recommendations of the Bunbury-Wellington Region Plan (1995). The scheme will be implemented through the zoning of land in the Harvey, Capel, Dardanup and Bunbury town planning schemes, and through the progressive acquisition of reserved land. Acquisition of land for regional open space will also facilitate creation of regional parks in coastal areas and achieve appropriate coastal setbacks and development control. W APC Strategic plan This document covers sections of Mandurah, Harvey and Waroona. Both Mandurah and Harvey local governments have indicated the strategy retains relevant, particularly for the assessment of development applications. The document has been incorporated into town planning schemes and adopted as planning policy. Final waiting endorsement DPI Strategic plan This conservation strategy will provide guidance for management and land use surrounding the Vasse-Wonnerup, New River and Broadwater wetlands. It is anticipated that the final document be released during July 2005.
