Install information: Before we start with the installation of the PS360
Main information about the PS360:
* Compatible with Xbox 360, PlayStation 3, PC.
* Solder free, comes installed with terminal blocks and usb jack for easy hook-up.
* 4-pin cable (with 400mm wires) included for optional USB connection.
* Common ground for easy wiring inside your arcade stick.
* Turbo feature.
Install information:
Before we start with the installation of the PS360 it is important that you do
NOT work with (put screwdriver in, put fingers on et.c) the PS360 when it
is connected to Xbox 360, PS3 or PC (or other USB source you may have
connected it to), it could damage the PS360 and make it not work anymore.
(1) Mounting
PS360 has four (4) mounting holes for mounting
inside your arcade stick.
Please make sure that when you mount the
PS360 inside your arcade stick that you have room
for the USB-cable and wire from buttons and
joystick to the screw terminals of the PS360.
Holes for mounting the PS360 inside your arcade
stick should be 60 x 50 millimeter like the picture to
the right shows.
Size of screws should be M3 or smaller.
(2) Connecting wires
With your PS360 mounted inside your arcade stick we are now ready for the wiring.
PS360 fits most sizes of wire used in arcade sticks today so use what you think works for you
(most used are AWG20-AWG28 stranded wire, not solid wire).
(2:1) Connecting wires – Joystick
The PS360 works with all common ground joysticks (see ”Explanation” for a list) and it is
super easy to connect.
Most used today are either Sanwa or Seimitsu joysticks:
We will use one of each as an example (see the end of the PDF for the exact joystick hook-up
that suits you and your arcade stick):
Seimitsu LS-32-01 (on the right you see the bottom of the joystick).
Sanwa JLF (on the right you see the bottom of the joystick).
If you have an optical joystick then you need to connect an extra cable to ”Vcc” on the PS360
like the picture below shows.
Sanwa JLHS Optical Joystick (on the right you see the bottom of the joystick).
(2:2) Connecting wires – Buttons
Now it is time to wire the buttons to the PS360.
A button has 2 pins sticking out, one is used for the signal (A, B, R1 for example) and the
other pin is used for the ground (you can choose either pin for ground or signal).
Below are three pictures, they have 12 buttons, 11 buttons or 10 buttons in total:
The 12:th button is the Turbo button but because not many people use the Turbo function in
games you can have 11 or 10 buttons instead if you want.
11-Button Layout:
* 8 x Action Buttons.
* Start Button.
* Select/Back/Turbo Button (Select/Back wired together with Turbo).
* Home/Guide Button.
This layout makes you lose the Turbo function in games.
10-Button Layout:
* 8 x Action Buttons.
* Start Button.
* Home/Guide/Turbo Button (Home/Guide wired together with Turbo).
This layout makes you lose the Turbo function in games AND you have no Select/Back button.
Some arcade sticks do not have 12 buttons so with these layouts you can choose what suits
your arcade stick the best and get the most out of your PS360.
(2:3) Connecting wires – Connect USB-cable
Last you just need to connect the USB-cable to the PS360 and now you are ready for gaming.
(2:4) Connecting wires – USB 4-pin cable
With your PS360 comes a 4-PIN cable (with 400
millimeter long wires) that you can hook up to the
optional USB-jack on the PS360 board.
This is only for those who want to do different
modifications inside their arcade stick (different
types of dual mods or other types of mods).
THIS IS ONLY OPTIONAL, YOU CAN USE THE
MAIN USB-JACK INSTEAD!
(2:5) Connecting wires – Finished
Here is an example of how it can look in real life:
WILL POST PICTURES SOON…
Playing games:
Now you have installed your PS360 in your arcade stick. You have connected all the
wires for joystick, buttons and connected a USB-cable to it.
You are now ready to play!
(1) Time to test your arcade stick
Take the USB-Cable that is hooked up to the PS360 and put the other end of the cable in the
console/computer you want to play on (Xbox 360, Playstation 3 or PC).
If nothing works (try pushing the Guide/Home button) then you need to change mode for the
PS360, this is how you do that:
1.
2.
3.
4.
5.
Pull out the USB-cable from the console/computer.
Hold down the Turbo button (or the Select/Turbo button if you have 11 buttons setup).
Push the USB-cable into the console/computer and release the button.
Now it should work with your console/computer.
If you want to change the PS360 mode again then simple follow step 1-3.
The PS360 will hold the mode-setting as long as you want to change it again.
Turbo - For people with 12-button arcade stick ONLY
Turbo function works with ALL action buttons, not Start, Select/Back, Home/Guide.
There are 3 speed settings when using turbo on a button: Fast, Medium and Slow.
This is how you enable Turbo on one or more action buttons:
1.
2.
3.
4.
Hold down the Turbo button.
Click one time on the action button(s) you want Turbo enabled on.
Release the Turbo button.
Done.
Now you have the fastest Turbo setting on the button(s) you selected. If you want to have it a
bit slower then repeat step 1-3, after that you are in the middle Turbo setting.
Repeat step 1-3 a third time and you will enter the slowest Turbo setting.
Repeat step 1-3 one last time and your button(s) will work like normal again.
Explanations:
M3:
This is a metric standard and it means 3 millimeter in diameter screw.
AWG:
Stands for American Wire Gauge. It´s an American cable dimension system and the
measurement is for the conducting wire inside the cable.
If you live in a part of the world where the metric system is more common please use the
information below to get the correct cable for you.

Optical joystick:
This type of joystick uses optics (light and matter) to function and therefore needs something
to power it with, that is why you need to connect it to the point on the PS360 that says ”Vcc”.
Optical joysticks are silent compared to the regular microswitch joysticks which has a
clicking noise.
Joystick ”hook-up” guide:
Depending on what cable you use and how your joystick is rotated in your arcade stick you
can follow the table below on how to hook it up to the PS360:
