Bomanite Sandscape® Texture is a highly durable and cost effective architectural concrete finishing option that utilizes specialized
concrete mix designs containing select sands and aggregates. Installed by Bomanite Licensed concrete craftsmen, Bomanite Sandscape
Texture is the product of choice for projects requiring a decorative and durable finish alternative to traditional concrete paving. Natural,
regionally selected and qualified sands such as granite, quartz or limestone are the common aggregates of choice for Bomanite Sandscape
Texture installations. Light fast Bomanite colorants and additional decorative mineral aggregates are incorporated into the concrete mix
or to the surface of the freshly placed slab with the finished product resembling fine “quarried stone”. The natural non-skid properties
and abrasion resistant aggregates make Bomanite Sandscape Texture the perfect choice for all residential and commercial exterior
concrete applications including entries, municipal or public works projects, hospitals, educational facilities, museums, pool decks,
plazas and more.

Comprehensive Sustainable System
Bomanite Sandscape Texture is both products and process;

a series of systems comprised of pre-qualified local aggregates,
light fast pigments and architectural aggregates along with
surface applied treatments to harden and densify the surface,
resulting in surface durability far superior to conventional broom
finished concrete. Designed for outdoor applications, Bomanite
Sandscape Texture is a robust, sustainable option where lowmaintenance, slip resistance and a decorative concrete surface is
desired.
Creative Design and Color Options
Once exposed and cured, Bomanite Sandscape Texture is ideally
treated with Bomanite Con-Shield, a hydrolyzed lithium silicate
densifier designed to improve the properties of the concrete
at the surface. A further treatment with one of Bomanite’s
stain resistant film forming or penetrating sealers is utilized
depending on type of exposed aggregates. Additional coloration
with Bomanite Chemical Stain or Bomanite Con-Color prior to final sealing is possible if a
variegated look or secondary colors are desired.
Environmentally Conscious Application
The sustainable properties of Bomanite Sandscape Texture make it an excellent choice for
environmentally conscious applications. Bomanite Sandscape Texture mix designs readily
accept fly ash or slag or other supplementary cementitious materials, offsetting a portion of
the ordinary portland cement. Urban heat island effect can be greatly reduced by thoughtfully designed installations. Third
party independent testing has shown that Bomanite Sandscape Texture can exceed .29 solar reflectance without the use of
white cement, allowing for the concrete to be cooler underfoot making it ideal for large urban
plazas and pool deck applications. Most importantly the exposure of the fine aggregates result in
a robust concrete that has an excellent life cycle with reduced maintenance requirements. This
allows the design professional to utilize with confidence Bomanite Sandscape Texture for critical
projects or substitute for more traditional large dimension natural stone installations.
