Strolling among the itineraries of the “100 Farms”.
Authentic heritage of universal value, the "Martha" is one of the containers of
archeology, art and ancient culture of the most prestigious in the Mediterranean area.
The museum houses a permanent exhibition dedicated to the history of the area, with
spectacular finds from the period of Ancient Greece and the Roman period, in addition
to the collection of beautiful gold of Taranto.
The Aragonese castle of Taranto, built on a former
medieval fortress, opens its gates to visitors
following the recent archaeological investigations
and the redevelopment of the site, offering a
fascinating guided tour inside the most representative of the military history of city.
A park located near the sea, where once stood “Satyrion”, the original settlement of
Taranto, from which is only 10 km along the coast road, towards Leporano. The site
preserves the archeological evidence of the colonization of Greek and Roman
domination.
