Community Outreach
Healing Arts Outreach (Request by Community)
Program in development in conjunction with Hospice Georgina, A series of
Workshops for people in the community recovering from Critical Illnesses and are
seeking Bereavement Support. Programs to be developed and facilitated in
conjunction with councilors from Hospice Georgina.
Seniors Art Outreach (Request by Community)
Day Workshops for seniors in homes for special care and individuals in the
community. Based on successful 2014 Pilot project. Class could be offered at the
LINK for improved winter accessibility. Looking at transportation options with
Routes.
First Nations Heritage Workshops (Response to Community)
Engage a First Nations advisor to help create a First Nations artist workshop series
focused on the Traditional skills and arts of the local Chippewas of Georgina such as
basket weaving. Hosting local community groups and creating understanding through the
awareness of our shared history with a new lecture series.
Community Initiatives (Response to Community)
Participation in Community Events to help create awareness and support other
Community Based organizations; Studio Tour, Local BIA’s, Festival on High, Painted
Perch, Harvest Festival, Splash, Sutton Fair,

Community Outreach
Elementary School Curriculum-based Art Programs
Day or 1/2 Day Workshops with school approved curriculum programs. Reestablishing
our relationships with the schools, 1 program currently in development for grades 3 & 4
students from one school in the community. As to the need we hope to expand and
develop programs for all elementary school grade levels where individual art teachers are
no longer supported. However funding is available for curriculum-based programs.

Secondary Art History Masters Studies (Request by School)
In school Art History Lectures, interactive multi-media presentations prepared by
our Curator, Ewa with her extensive art history masters studies. Proven to make
money!
Open Studio (awareness and community response can build to sustainability)
Non instructional art exploration studio time media or subject based. ie. Life drawing
Material and supervision costs, user fee by the day. $10/3hours

Initiatives
Monthly Movie in conjunction with Jericho and the Gem Theatre in Keswick.
Blue Jays Bus Excursion
In demand from the community this will run again this year in conjunction with a New
Membership, the GAC Excursion Membership program reduced rate from a full membership.
Monthly Tuesday Luncheons
Well attended by the community this fundraiser will continue through 2016. Wonderful food provided by
Blackriver Café. Seats are in high demand!

Pilot Project ending December 2015; Tom Thomson Print and Chuvalo Memorabilia
Café Lecture Series
Once per quarter Steeve and Ewa Chwojko offer an evening of art music with a multi-media
lecture performance.

Initiatives
“Taste of …” Cultural Series will be expanded this year. 2015 Pilot Taste of Hungary, raised $2000
in one evening! 2016 Themes will include Taste of Jazz, and a Taste of Latin
Gallery Excursions
Group bus trips to southern Ontario points of art interest; AGO, McMichael, Aga Khan Museum,
in conjunction with a New Membership The GAC Excursion membership program reduced rate
from a full membership.
Performance
A performance in the Gallery by Lusia Sello renowned Italian Flautist, Canadian Debut of Steeve
Chwojko’s piece composed for flute, along with book launch of the Chiarandini book co-authored by our
curator Ewa Chwojko.
Vendor’s Market
Annual Christmas Market will be expanded for 2016 to increase potential avenues of income
Gallery Art Exhibitions
We are planning for 9 Exhibitions at the Gallery this year. Each show has a Gala Opening
Afternoon and they are all fundraising and awareness events.
