complete, accurate and current IFR charting solutions. Our expertise
in charting complex international aeronautical data into standard
manuals is what sets us apart and what gives you the confidence of

you need for a given flight, domestic or
international. Contents typically include*:

•Area charts–detailed enroute charts for high-density areas
•Terminal charts (approach plates)
•Airport diagrams
•Arrival and departure procedures (SIDs and STARs)
•General text and supporting information
•USA: chart and procedure legends and change notices and

Jeppesen VFR+GPS Charts for USA
Our VFR+GPS charts are designed for use with today’s VFR navigational technologies as well as
traditional VFR flying. Oriented around actual VFR flights and local operations, Jeppesen’s new
VFR+GPS charts for the USA provide a fresh alternative to traditional sectional charts. Ease of
use and increased situational awareness are the result of utilizing multiple GPS reference points,
distinct colors and contrast, intuitive aeronautical symbols, better terrain depiction and, best
of all, less clutter. Whether for preflight, enroute or terminal operations, Jeppesen’s VFR+GPS
charts provide a new approach to VFR flying. Since 1934, aviators have trusted Jeppesen for
the latest information and innovation—Jeppesen VFR+GPS charts deliver both.
VFR+GPS
Subscriptions
NOW available!
One-year subscriptions are now
available for all USA VFR+GPS
Charts. This convenient option
ensures you always have the
current VFR+GPS Chart. Visit
JeppDirect.com for details.
Extras–Turn our charts over and see JeppGuide airport diagrams and local area
guide information such as restaurants, hotels and rental cars. Extras like these
turn your aeronautical chart into a system to help you from preflight to engine
shutdown.
®
Two Scales–Whether you are flying cross-country or locally, Jeppesen VFR+GPS
charts have you covered. Our new charts are available in enroute format
(1:500,000, like a sectional) and area format (1:250,000, like a TAC), so you can
select the coverage that is best suited to your flight.
Coverage Areas–Rather than build our VFR charts in “sections” across the
country, our coverage areas are based on actual VFR flight plans. In most cases, this
means fewer charts per flight!
Revisions–Jeppesen’s VFR+GPS charts are revised semi-annually to give you the
same currency of information you are used to with government charts. Moreover,
chart change notices are published on our Web site every 56 days, so you always
have the latest information available.
Check our Web site for new coverages in your area!
www.jeppesen.com/vfrgps
Colors–At first glance our charts are different—starting with the colors. From
terrain to airspace, all of our colors are easier on the eyes and more intuitive,
making our charts easier to fly, easier to learn and easier to teach.
Jeppesen VFR Solutions for Europe
Symbols–We have updated familiar VFR chart symbology, making it easier to
recognize and decode. For example, airspace boundaries are color-coded with
airspace flags that clearly depict the type and altitude of each airspace segment,
thus increasing situational awareness and safety.
Offered in Europe since 1994, Jeppesen’s VFR+GPS series remains the standard
by which all other VFR charts are compared. Offering coverage throughout Europe
and in South Africa, our 1:500,000 scale charts provide the most detail and
clarity of any VFR chart on the market.
GPS Friendly–VFR waypoints and checkpoints are clearly marked on the front of
the chart along with a table of coordinates listed on the back for easy entry into
any GPS device.

The Jeppesen Data Solution
Jeppesen data solutions—Navigation Data (NavData), Terrain Data
and Obstacle Data—are recognized by pilots, airlines, corporate
flight departments and almost every major avionics manufacturer
around the world as the most current and accurate flight information
available. The Jeppesen name ensures that whether you fly for
business or simply for fun, your new system can be relied upon to be
the primary navigation unit on your aircraft.*
Jeppesen Services Update Manager
Every month, thousands of changes occur in the world’s complex
airspace system, creating the need for timely and continuous data
and chart updates. Jeppesen Services Update Manager (JSUM) is
a single software application that allows you to quickly and easily
access data updates via the Internet, while continually monitoring
for notices and alerts that changes have occurred to critical data
within your Jeppesen data coverage area(s).
A Progressive, Customer-Inspired Solution
JSUM is the result of Jeppesen’s ongoing commitment to expertise
and to our customers. Based on direct feedback and suggestions
from pilots worldwide, we designed JSUM to deliver specific
benefits that make it easier to access the information you need to
fly safely, efficiently and cost-effectively. Here’s a look at some of the
key advantages you’ll gain with JSUM:
What You Need
Internet Access
Available for both standard and regionalized
coverage areas, JSUM allows you to download
the latest NavData revisions from any computer with Internet access.
•Streamlined Software
In addition to simplifying access to your data updates, JSUM can be used
to download other MFD/EFIS service updates, including Jeppesen electronic
IFR chart revisions. As a result, you can utilize a consistent interface when
updating all of your Jeppesen electronic navigation services, creating a more
efficient solution that saves you time, money and headaches.
Datacard Hardware
Most avionic systems use universal removable media, such as SD or Compact Flash,
and require a universal reader/writer device to complete the update process using
JSUM. Universal reader/writer devices can be purchased from multiple retail outlets.
Garmin’s GPS systems that use its proprietary FLASH cards require Jeppesen’s
Skybound G2 USB to complete the update process using JSUM. For those who require
Skybound G2, visit JeppDirect.com to order online. •Navigation Alerts and Notices
In addition to accessing complete revision downloads, JSUM allows you to
continually monitor for notices and alerts communicating changes that have
occurred to critical data within your data coverage area(s).
*Consult your Individual Pilots Operating Handbook for discussion of the various types
of information and specific database content in your system.
•Programming Flexibility
Remember the days when you had to have your GPS system on hand in order to
download and update your NavData or other MFD services? With JSUM, those
days are history. Now, you can simply download revisions and updates to your
desktop or portable computer and upload the information to your GPS system—
where and when it is most convenient for you.

VFR Flight Planning Solutions
Jeppesen provides the most advanced tools and resources available
to support the flight planning needs of VFR pilots. By combining
ease of use with leading-edge functionality, Jeppesen’s solutions
build added precision, efficiency and reliability into your flight
planning process.
FliteStar VFR—Desktop Application
FliteStar VFR simplifies and automates your flight planning process with
unparalleled accuracy and flexibility. Similar to FliteStar IFR, this desktop
application offers the following features and capabilities:
•Vector-based graphics
•Point-and-click routing
•Graphical TFRs*
•GPS uploads/downloads
•Auto-routing around airspace, terrain and user-defined boundaries
•Printable flight plans, forms and charts
Terrain Profile View
Without the right information, determining the best altitude(s) along your flight
route can be a guessing game. Jeppesen’s Terrain Profile View fills in the blanks
and allows you to plan with greater confidence by providing detailed profiles
and information about terrain, winds aloft, cloud bases, MEAs (FliteStar IFR
only) and airspace directly below your planned route of flight. What’s more, the
program’s 3-D routing capabilities and optimization function help you refine your
calculations and determine the best altitude based on your specific route and
conditions. Additional weather information such as icing is now available.
All of these qualities add up to greater flight planning precision, speed and
reliability. For a complete description of FliteStar VFR features and pricing, go to JeppDirect.com.

The Integrated Service Solution
NavSuite is a fully integrated, easy-to-use solution that combines
Jeppesen’s industry-leading electronic charts and flight planning
capabilities into a single, streamlined solution—for a low monthly*
price. From planning the flight to pulling into the chocks at your
destination, NavSuite provides everything you need in one valuepacked bundle. Bundle solutions are available for MFD such as
MX-20, GMX-200, G-1000, Avidyne 500 and 5000, and G-600
NavSuite gives you Jeppesen’s leading electronic chart application,
JeppView, and the ability to choose either FliteStar or JetPlanner and
JetPlan.com for flight planning. This powerful integration provides
you with these valuable benefits:
Bundled Pricing Discounts
A bundled pricing strategy means you get all the functionality of leading chart
and flight planning applications while keeping costs low.
Flexible Payment Options
You could save 14%-25% each year on your revision services simply by
subscribing to NavSuite, as compared to subscribing to Jeppesen’s electronic
chart and flight planning services individually. Plus, you’ll get the time-saving
benefits of full integration across all products at no extra charge. The NavSuite
subscription fee can be automatically debited from your credit card each month
by setting up a recurring electronic payment service,* or you can sign up for an annual service. Either way, you can establish a flexible billing plan that suits your needs.
Single Update Simplicity
NavSuite simplifies data updates and revisions for both your electronic charts and
flight planning solutions. Available every 14 days, NavSuite updates are delivered
electronically via the Internet, enabling you to quickly and conveniently renew your
data with a single download.
Ease of Use
NavSuite streamlines your solutions into an integrated suite of applications with
a consistent, easy-to-use interface. As a result, you spend less time learning how
to navigate through each program and more time putting them to work to address
your charting and flight planning needs.
Multi-Licensing
NavSuite also makes it easy—and cost-effective—to license multiple users
within your organization. You simply order NavSuite for multiple users and
maintain one serial number. Here’s how it works: You maintain NavSuite on a
centralized server within your organization—for example, in a flight operations
department—that allows multiple users to access the data, based on your
multiple-user license agreement. Users can download updates and revisions via
the Internet, as well as utilize common-file standard routes. If you have a multiuser requirement, please contact your Jeppesen Customer Service Representative
for information and to register.
RoutePacks
One of the most useful and innovative features of the NavSuite solution is
Jeppesen’s RoutePack feature. This proprietary technology allows you to transfer
information quickly and easily between the flight planning and chart applications,
so you can go from planning to flying in no time at all.
As you’ll discover, RoutePack allows you to organize customized charts, routes,
airport information and other data into an easily accessible folder. Most
important, your RoutePack is built to be modified as your needs change. Easy
“drag and drop” functionality makes it simple to eliminate, add or change charts
on the fly—so you have the information you need right at your fingertips for every flight. To learn more about the advantages of the NavSuite solution,
minimum computer requirements, or to subscribe, contact your
Jeppesen representative or visit jeppesen.com.
