Welcome back! School resumes
Christmas in Our Jammies…That’s the title of the Young Child’s Christmas Service. Make sure you
save the date! Tuesday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m. This joy-filled Christmas musical gives every child
attending Littlest Angels the opportunity to tell the Christmas story in their own special way! I promise you
won’t want to miss this program. It will be a memory-making event in your 2015 Christmas celebrations!
We will have a professional videographer recording the service and then produce a DVD that every family
will have the opportunity to purchase. Information and an order form will be in your child’s folder soon.
And just a reminder…pajamas are the attire for the children for this evening.
FLOATING ANGELS??? WE’VE GOT SOME! We have three wonderful teachers who are not assigned to
a specific classroom. We call them our “float” teachers. They are ready to go where they are needed on any
given day… at any given moment! They are indeed wonderful blessings! And we so appreciate them!
They are: Teacher Elizabeth, Teacher Holly, and Teacher Lupe.
BOOKS FROM SANTA? Yes! Read All About It… Santa is coming to Littlest Angels on Wednesday,
December 16 and Thursday, December 17. He will pass out books to each child he visits!

NO JESUS, NO PEACE
Turn on the TV to watch the news and it sure sounds like peace, as described in the Bible, isn’t easy to find!
But at that very first Christmas, angels appeared to some shepherds and declared that peace had arrived!
In just one single verse in the Bible, we find out where to find true PEACE; “Glory to God in the highest,
and on earth PEACE to men on whom His favor rests.” That very first Christmas, PEACE came from God
as a tiny little baby and dwelt in our world. PEACE comes to us from God through Jesus.
I once saw a bumper sticker that said, “Know JESUS, know PEACE; No JESUS, no PEACE!” So
true! If we really want to know and have PEACE, we have to know JESUS, the PRINCE OF PEACE! During
this most special Advent and Christmas season, I am going to make a sincere effort to make sure I keep
JESUS close in my heart and focus on my relationship with Him. PEACE is really about knowing Jesus and
having a personal relationship with Him. He wants us to be fearless and peaceful persons. He said, “Peace I
leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give as the world gives. Do not let your heart be troubled and
do not be afraid. Jesus “peace” doesn’t make sense to the world…it surpasses all understanding.” It only
makes sense to those who believe. This peace enables believers to remain calm in the most fearful of
circumstances; to rejoice in pain and suffering; to rest in His love no matter what is going on around them;
and to be a sanctuary of His PEACE for others to see.
Each day during Advent, I am going to try to give Jesus a gift that He would appreciate. I won’t spend a
penny ‘cause Jesus doesn’t need “stuff.” I can give Him gifts like devotion, time, thoughts, words, and
offerings. I can use my mouth, heart, hands, feet, and mind to give His gifts of PEACE and JOY to the
world…at least to my little corner of the world!
This month our virtue is PEACE. I am especially blessed and joy-filled because I get to share God’s very
special gift, JESUS, with all the children at Littlest Angels whose eyes are filled with wonder and whose
hearts and minds are ready to “let Him come in.” The children will be sharing their Christmas joy at our
Young Child’s Christmas Service, “Christmas in Our Jammies,” on Tuesday, December 15 at 6:00 p.m.
We’d love to have you join us!
May your hearts and homes be filled with the joy and PEACE that comes from knowing the Babe in the
manger…the PRINCE OF PEACE!
KNOW JESUS, KNOW PEACE!

LITTLE BUNNIES NEWS
The holidays are a magical time, especially for two year olds! Most of them are really seeing it all for the
first time. Take time to enjoy the love, lights, sparkle, sweet smells, and joy that the season brings – like
you are seeing it for the first time through the eyes of your two year old.
Our theme this month is Christmas! We will create our own little
Christmas right here in our room with special Christmas projects, stories,
and music. Our color of the month is green and our shape is the star.
We will be singing some favorite Christmas songs like Jingle Bells, Frosty
the Snowman, Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star, Rudolf the Red Nose
Reindeer, and Must Be Santa!
Classroom Christmas parties and a visit from Santa will be on Wednesday, December 16 and Thursday,
December 17. Please let us know if your child is afraid of Santa so that we will be prepared to help them, if
needed.
Merry Christmas!
Teacher Mindy and Teacher Ruth
BUSY BEE NEWS
It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas...especially in the Busy Bee classroom! Our Busy
Bees are filled with anticipation and an abundance of pure joy! It’s such a delight to see the
sparkle in their eyes each day. We will channel this enthusiasm as we make decorations
and projects that will help us prepare for Jesus’ birthday…the reason for all of our
celebrating!
We have been busy practicing our special songs for the Young Child Christmas Service –
Christmas in Our Jammies! It will be fun to wear our PJ’s as we come and sing at our
special service. Ask your child to sing our song to you…
”Mary sang an itty-bitty song, an itty bitty song to Jesus!
Mary sang an itty-bitty song, an itty-bitty song to Jesus.
Rock-a-bye baby, itty-bitty baby. Rock-a-bye baby, close your eyes.
Rock-a-bye baby, itty-bitty baby. Rock-a-bye baby, close your eyes.”
Our special Christmas poem we’re learning this month is:
Ring, ring, ring the bells,
Ring them loud and clear.
To tell the children everywhere,
That Christmastime is here.
(Repeat)
Christmas JOY and LOVE!

The fun and joy of the season will be filling our classroom this month. We will be busy creating decorations

5 Little Angels lovely and bright,
The first one said, “It’s a special night!”

The fifth one said, “Now it’s time to sing.”

Peppermint Stick

But I like it better in my tummy!!!
We will enjoy our special visit from Santa on December 16 and 17. Make sure you read all about his visit at
the beginning of the newsletter. We’ll also have a classroom party each of these days, so keep an eye out for

LITTLE LIONS NEWS
Busy making popcorn balls,
Busy making greeting cards
Busy, busy me!
Say I will not be boundI’m so busy – I don’t see
How Santa gets around.
Leland B. Jacobs
It’s that magical time of year! The joyous holiday season is here…a time of giving, sharing, and celebrating
our Heavenly Father’s greatest gift – JESUS!
Through the month of December we will be exploring the Christmas story, learning new songs and poems,
and decorating our classroom. We will see that JESUS came for everyone by exploring unique customs for
celebrating “Christmas around the World.” Your children will be encouraged to make gifts and cards for
whomever they want. No matter how lumpy, sticky, or imperfect – they are surely a gift from the heart.
Academically, we will have many projects that we create throughout the coming weeks. We will continue to
work on social skills that express feelings with kindness and patience. We will review letters L, F, T, O, E,
H, I, and C and continue counting our way to 100 days of school.
In the midst of busy holiday schedules, here are some great ideas for family time this month: have a baking
party with a friend or two, make family Christmas cards to share, help wrap Christmas gifts together,
deliver foods and gifts to charities and distribute to those in need, and/or play soft Christmas music instead
of watching TV.
Be on the lookout for fun with our Scavenger Hunt! A list that will be making its way to your child’s folder
soon!
Share the JOY and SPIRIT of the SEASON!
Teacher Staci and Teacher Lori
Merry
Christmas!
