Silverback chrome is not just Standard chrome, as the closer

Its starts by using FLAWLESS MATERIAL held to a standard
TWICE that of ASTM SPECIFICATIONS, next being VERTICALLY
POLISHED to eliminate ring polish marks, then being TRIPLE
NICKEL COATED for improved chrome adhesion and Lastly
being chromed, with a CONTROLLED layer which is applied
with expertise and experience.

What you can avoid by making the right decision...
CORROSION & RUSTING
Corrosion and rusting generally occurs when poor
quality stacks are used which cannot endure the
harshness of the Australian elements. Also internal
rusting commonly occurs on late model trucks that
have euro emission control such as a DPF unit or
Ad-blue, this can dribble down the outside of the
chrome stack making it very difficult to clean.
SILVERBACK ADBLUE upgrade, 650C Series &
AIR-COOLED upgrade are all options that can assist
in reducing or removing the corrosion and rusting.
DISCOLOURED STACKS
Using stacks with incorrect temperature ratings will
result in irreversible and permanent discolouration.
This can appear as blue, gold or purple coloured
‘flame’ marks. The SILVERBACK 650C Series and the
AIR-COOLED upgrade are options that can guarantee
no stack discoloration.

ilverback 350C Series - For the Older Classic Truck
or any Truck built prior to EURO V (ADR80/03),
basically 2009 or earlier. As Traditional chrome
discolours at 315ºC - 370ºC this series will not
withstand the temperature that the new EURO-V
standard imposes.
> S
ilverback 650C Series - components are tested
to withstand temperatures of up to 650ºC.
This series utilizes a multiphase proprietary
system that prevents the chrome discolouring
at high temperatures, resists the corrosive
effects of Urea Re-Agents and under normal
use will not corrode internally.
And 2 optional upgrades; ADBLUE Upgrade &
AIR-COOLED Upgrade
> AD-BLUE Upgrade - This is a carefully applied
coating that has been formulated to endure the
acidic conditions the ad-blue creates. Generally
applied to 350C Series when heat from the DPF is
not an issue.
> AIR-COOLED Upgrade - This is when a stainless
insert sleeve is put into each stack to create an
Air-cooled chamber around the exhaust gas.
This is a recommended upgrade for CAB OVER
trucks such as the Kenworth K200 & Freightliner
Argosy. This is used in applications when
temperatures exceed 650°C.

If you have a TRADITIONAL GUARD SETUP with standard 5” OUT MUFFLERS
you will need the REDUCED TYPE.
If you have SPORTS MUFFLERS with an OUTLET LARGER THAN 5” or you are running
a MONSTER SETUP you will need the NON-REDUCED stacks that are appropriate.

The Key to the MONSTER Setup is the
SEAMLESS INTERLOCKING which is
achieved through a special reduced end
called a TAPERLOC. The TAPERLOC end
is on both the CENTRE SPOOL and the
ELBOW. This enables ANY TOP STACK to
slip onto the SPOOL and thus the SPOOL
to slip onto the ELBOW. These two joints
are then hidden with a WIDE CLAMP to
give the overall AWESOME appearance
of ONE CONTINUOUS exhaust stack.
