PATHWAYS INCLUDING RECOGNITION
There are a number of pathways to achieving the qualification OR to achieving a Statement of Attainment for
those who only wish to complete a particular field/stream.
The pathways are:
 Face-to-face combined with completion of work in own time. Candidates attend a series of workshops and
tutorials run by Worklinks and then complete further requirements in their own time.
 Online training. Candidates complete the 7 units ONLINE after gaining RPL for the 3 units that most
teachers will be eligible for.
 Assessment-only. This enables TAE candidates to prove competency by completing the assessment component of the course only, without participating in training.
Secondary teachers may be eligible for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) for the following units of
competency, on receipt by the RTO of all appropriate RPL evidence:
 TAEDEL401A
 TAEDEL402A
 BSBCMM401
Plan, organize and deliver group-based learning

It is POSSIBLE that some teachers may be eligible for additional recognition; however, this will depend entirely
on the individual teacher’s prior experience and qualifications.
A blanket assumption cannot be made about which (if any) units of competency teachers or others may gain
recognition for – as indicated, it will vary from individual to individual.
Please email training@worklinks.com.au if you wish to follow an RPL process (eg more than the 3
RPL units offered already), or if you require further information.
