Six Flags Great America is seeking enthusiastic and talented singers, dancers, animated character
performers, and technicians to work in our award winning shows, events, and more at competitive wages.

SINGERS AND DANCERS (16 or older)
Open Call—No Appointment Necessary
Singers will be given a maximum of two minutes to demonstrate their vocal talents (two contrasting styles
preferred, 16 bars each, approximately 1 minute each). Singers should be prepared to learn additional music or
a movement combination. Also, be prepared to stay for the dancer open call after the singer open call. No a
cappella auditions (Piano accompanist will be available, sheet music preferred. CD WITHOUT LEAD vocals can be
accommodated). Dancers will be given a combination by our choreographer and should be prepared to sing at a
call back if asked. Dancers may also be cast into performing costume character dancer roles.
MUSICIANS, DRUMMERS, ACTORS AND SPECIALTY ACTS (16 or older)

All acts should prepare several short selections showing various abilities. If you have a special talent that you
think would make a great street performance, please give the audition hotline a call to set-up an audition.
ANIMATED COSTUME CHARACTER PERFORMERS (16 or older)

Our animated costumed characters bring children’s favorite cartoon characters to life. These roles
require great guest interaction skills and performers should have basic dance and movement skills. All
applicants for Costumed Characters must be between 5’-2” and 6’-0” tall and of a slender build.
THEATER TECHNICIANS (Lighting, Audio, Video, Carpentry and General, 17 or older)

Six Flags annually employs dozens of theatre technicians in the professional lighting, audio, carpentry,
audio/visual and general specialties. Technicians are hired to operate and maintain shows and events
in the various theatrical venues at the park. Interviews will be conducted during the audition dates. You
may either bring a resume with you or send it with a cover letter to: sfgamentertainment@sixflags.com
COSTUME CONSTRUCTION (Seamstresses and Tailors), WARDROBE TECHNICIANS AND
MAKE-UP ARTISTS (17 or older)

Six Flags hires various costume shop positions including seamstresses, tailors and general wardrobe
technicians. Costume shop positions are available to build, maintain, repair and facilitate storage of
park costumes. Make Up Artists are hired for the annual Fright Fest event, held in October. Make-up
Artists need to be able to deliver high quality work in a fast paced environment. Interviews will be held
on the audition dates, applicants should provide a resume, portfolio of work and complete availability.
ENTERTAINMENT OFFICE (17 or older)

Six Flags is looking for experienced office team members to work in the Entertainment Office.
Experience with multi-tasking, working with multi-line phones, and Microsoft Office Programs (Access,
Excel and Word) is a must.
FRIGHT FEST PERFORMERS AND CHARACTER ESCORTS (16 or older)

During the Fall months, Six Flags Great America is transformed into a Haunted Theme Park. Additional
Street Actors, Haunted House Performers, Make-up Artists, and Character Escorts are needed to help
make this event a success.
GENERAL INFORMATION
• All persons hired must provide their own transportation to and from the park.
• Limited Employee Housing is available during summer months only. Information regarding housing and
its costs will be available at the time of hire.
• College Credit can be earned by performers, technicians and wardrobe personnel.
• Availability for rehearsals/performances is mandatory and plays a major factor in being hired. Please
bring up-to-date availability information with you through November 1, 2015. If hired, your schedule will
be based on this information.
• Performers should bring a non-returnable photo and resume to the audition.
• We strongly encourage performers from all cultural backgrounds to audition.
