about 6 miles to the north-west of Chichester. Hambrook has a
village shop and there is a local primary school at West Ashling.
The harbourside village of Bosham is about 4 miles to the south.

shopping facilities, all accessible via the mainly level pedestrian
areas of the beautifully preserved City. Cultural activities include;

the area, both in the public and the private sector, include;

Westbourne House, Great Ballard, Slindon College and Bedales
at Petersfield.
.
GARDENS & GROUNDS
Knap House is approached via a large gravelled drive stretching
across the width of the property which provides ample parking
for several vehicles. To the front of the house there is neatly
clipped hedging and bushes providing some screening from the
road as well as pretty climbing plants to the porch extending
across the front elevation. The rear garden is a particular feature
of the property being of an excellent size and predominantly
laid to lawn interspersed with well planted beds, mature shrubs
and hedging providing a good level of privacy. A substantial
terrace is set adjacent to the back of the house and there is a
further dining terrace positioned down the garden being well
placed to capture the afternoon sun. To the end there is a more
natural area of garden being mainly laid to lawn with some
mature trees. In all, about 0.3 acres.
COUNTRY & COASTAL PURSUITS
Events and sporting activities in the area include the Goodwood
Festival of Speed and Revival events for motoring enthusiasts,
horseracing at Goodwood and Fontwell racecourses, polo at
Cowdray Park, golf at nearby Goodwood, and bathing off the
beach at the Witterings. Chichester Harbour has about 3,800
moorings, 2,000 berths in 6 marinas and 14 sailing clubs.

Aviation Museum, and the historic houses of Goodwood House,
