The Raiders also pushed the ball toward midfield with the running game, but were forced to punt when the drive sputtered out Weimar took over at the 47 and on the first play Hawthorne tossed the ball back to his brother Lynx Hawthorne who then threw a bomb downfield for a Wildcat touchdown. The extra point tied the game at 7-7 with 3:24 left in the half. Weimar then tried a sneak onside kick, but the Raiders handled it and took over near midfield. Three plays later, Weimar picked off a pass and took the ball at the 44. Rice returned the favor two plays later when Hull intercepted a Weimar pass. Rice ended up punting, and the Wildcats took a knee to send the game to halftime tied a 7-7. The Raiders got the ball to start the second half, but were unable to push past midfield and punted away.
