LEASING & CREDIT FINANCE
Testimony of Claude Casal, PSA Bank
«PSA Peugeot Citroën’s IT strategy is based on an off-theshelf software package, EKIP, for finance management
(from consumer credit to long-term rental) deployed via
an internal support center.
Our relationship dates from 1996.
Now France, Portugal, the UK, Germany, Austria and
Switzerland use Ekip to manage their finance contracts
and we will be extending its international deployment in
the next few months to Spain and Italy.
The international deployment of Ekip confirms PSA
Peugeot Citroën’s loyalty to Linedata Services’ IT
solutions.»

EKIP, multi-country reference projects
LEASING & CREDIT FINANCE
Testimony of Mr Marc De Waele General Manager of KBC Lease Belgium
« KBC Lease was created through the merger of two Belgian banks in 1998. To
manage its subsequent growth, the new company needed to improve its data
processing systems. In EKIP, KBC Lease found the ideal solution.
This choice was all the more appropriate given that the French subsidiary of KBC
Lease in Lyons had already been using EKIP applications for a long time and was
proud to be one of the first users of this application.
The nine-month installation project in Belgium in 2000 and the euro-conversion
projects in 2001 highlighted the professionalism of the EKIP support teams.
Drawing on these strong ties, KBC Lease confirmed its confidence in EKIP by
basing its international IT strategy on EKIP software packages.
KBC Lease Paris teamed up with EKIP at the end of 2002. This partnership will be
extended to KBC Lease Netherlands at the end of 2003. In addition, the new EKIP
Graphical User Interface will allow us not only to improve our information system
but will create new market opportunities (real estate leasing, web portal).
KBC Lease and Linedata Services: a winning combination. »

EKIP, floating rate and indexation
LEASING & CREDIT FINANCE
Floating rate : 3 main methods
1 - Every single instalment interest part is recalculated
2 – Rate reviewing, for a set of future instalments, the interest part is
recalculated and adjustment is included in the next instalment
3 – Rate regularisation, for a set of previously invoiced instalments, the
interest part is recalculated (when the value to be applied is unknown at
the invoicing date: we have to wait until the relevant value is published;
and then apply the calculation which gives the difference between interest
already invoiced and that newly calculated)
Indexation
Rental is globally updated according to indexes (e.g. cost live index)
