Major Robin Allen, Chamber Board Chair Casey Lund and several local and state dignitaries participated in the groundbreaking event as well as investor partners to begin construction on the 35-unit apartment complex and a new office. The complex is designed to provide permanent affordable housing with an emphasis on the special needs population. Set to open 2017, the facility, which is being funded through Missouri Housing Development Commission programs, provides a housing opportunity for community members who might struggle finding a safe, affordable place to call home. Pathways Community Health serves more than 139,000 people annually across Missouri and Louisiana in the areas of behavioral health, alcohol and drug treatment, prevention services, supportive housing services, community-based behavioral health support, school -based behavioral health support, primary care and dental services. Twelve of our nations best from the 509th Bomb Wing, and 20th RSS received recognition at the dinner held in their honor on the campus of UCM. Once again many thanks goes out to Marie Robison for her countless volunteer hours of obtaining the items. The twelve honorees received gift bags in the value of $2500.00 at the Quarterly Award recognition attended by Suzanne Taylor, Chamber Executive Director. Marie and Ed Robison represented the Chamber at the Annual Award Dinner and delivered over $4,500.00 in certificates and merchandise all of which was donated to the program by the following Chamber Members. The event will take place on Tuesday, Feb. 9th, from 6:00–7:00 pm in the Thompson Conference Room in the Heckart Science and Allied Health Center at State Fair Community College.
