Molly Maid: A simple business
with surprising rewards
You won’t clean homes; you’ll manage the business to achieve your lifestyle and
financial goals. Established owners who generated more than $1 million in gross
sales in 2009 (see chart inside) realized an average net profit of $216,223.
Molly Maid is a simple, recession-resistant business. While other franchise systems
struggled to survive last year’s economy, the average weekly gross sales for our
established owners remained stable.
Repeat customers and recurring income are
two reasons why Molly Maid owners are thriving

Today’s dual-income families, single professionals, and busy seniors are on the
go and more time-starved than ever. We help them trade housekeeping time for
personal time. That’s why Molly Maid is a need and not a luxury expense. And with
the recurring income from repeat customers, most Molly Maid owners can tell
you with reasonable certainty what their revenues will be for the next six months.
The business
model is sound,
the cash flow
predictable, and
you’ll experience
the freedom and
family-friendly
lifestyle that few
others enjoy.
Item 19: Financial Performance Representations
The operating model is sound, the cash flow predictable, and we’re in control of our destiny.
But, I’d have to say the most important reason to franchise Molly Maid is it’s a simple, recessionresistant business.

26 Molly Maid owners achieved gross sales exceeding one million dollars in
2009. The 18 owners represented in the chart above submitted their year-end
profit and loss statements by February 15, 2010, and have been in business
for four or more years. 13 of those 18 owners operated multiple Molly Maid
franchises and each such owner’s results were consolidated for the purpose of
this chart. The remaining 8 million-dollar owners were excluded because they
failed to submit their year-end profit and loss statements by February 15, 2010.
In 2009, one Molly Maid owner
earned a net profit of $373,776.

Variations among owners may be caused by a variety of factors, such as
location, demographics, general economic conditions, individual pricing,
competition and other factors, as well as the efforts of the individual owner
and their team. The results which appear in this item should not be considered
as the actual, or probable sales, income, gross or net profits that will be
realized by any franchisee.

As of December 31, 2009, 90 of the 198 owners represented in
this chart operated multiple Molly Maid franchises, and each such
owner’s results are consolidated for the purposes of this chart.
The information set forth in this brochure is published in our
April 2010 Franchise Disclosure Document.
In 2009, one Molly Maid owner
averaged $53,849 in weekly gross
sales—annualized that’s $2.8 million.
The idea of no receivables and the recurring revenue from regular cleaning customers is
too compelling. And unlike most companies where 80% of your business comes from 20%
of your customers, all my customers are about the same size and reliably steady.
