Artist Fellows at the Fine Arts
Museums of San Francisco
The de Young is proud to present the Artist Fellows in the
Kimball Education Gallery/Artist Studio from June through
Kevin Epps
Campo Santo
Todd Brown
September. Meet Todd T. Brown, multidisciplinary artist and
musician; Kevin Epps, filmmaker; and Sean San Jose, Director, Campo Santo Theater as they create new works
that will be premiered in the fall. These talented artists will host salons and discussions about their work on Friday
Nights. Special thanks to our collaborating partners Red Poppy Art House, the African American Art and Culture
Complex, and Intersection for the Arts.

Friday Nights at the de Young
Friday Nights at the de Young offers a variety of interdisciplinary arts programs including live music, poetry, films,
dance, tours, talks, art making, and more. The May and June lineup features events celebrating Olmec: Colossal
Masterworks of Ancient Mexico, Balenciaga and Spain, Picasso: Masterpieces from the Musée National Picasso,
Paris, and more. The café is open with a special Friday Nights menu and a no-host cocktail bar offers a variety of
tasty drinks. Programs take place in the free zone of the museum.

Cultural Encounters at the de Young is a series of interconnected programs developed in collaboration with
community arts organizations and performing and visual artists. These programs are designed to attract new and
diverse audiences to the museum while creating exciting educational and artistic possibilities from the permanent
collection and temporary exhibitions. Friday Nights at the de Young is part of the Fine Arts Museums’ Cultural
Encounters initiative, generously funded by The James Irvine Foundation, The Wallace Foundation, the Institute
of Museum and Library Services, and the Winifred Johnson Clive Foundation. Thanks to our media sponsor the
