NASHVILLE, TENN. — The Green Hills are a borough of
Nashville, Tenn., near the I-440 loop. The eastern edge of
the neighborhood is bordered by Lipscomb University (go
Bisons!), and is filled with stately older homes, some dating
back to the 1800s.
The upscale community has been seeing more and more

country. According to the National Association of Home
Builders, more than half its members – who together are responsible for more than 80% of new home construction – will
be using green design and construction practices to some
extent by the end of 2007.
When the time came to build the five-and-a-half-bedroom
house at 904 Estes in Green Hills, the owner turned to Mark

Who Is CONTRACTOR?
Since 1954, CONTRACTOR has been the newsmagazine of mechanical contracting.
As an integral member of Penton Media’s Mechanical Systems Construction Group,
CONTRACTOR concentrates its industry coverage exclusively on plumbing, hydronic/

CONTRACTOR presents the news, trends and issues that matter most to the mechanical
contractors who matter most—the industry’s top contracting firms. It’s the No. 1
