Last year over 10,000 Mid-Southerners attended the 7th annual
Memphis Israel Festival at our new location at Audubon Park.
The Memphis Israel Festival is sponsored by
Memphis Friends of Israel (MFOI) - www.memphisfoi.org
• The MFOI is a registered 501(c)3 started in 2006 by Dr. Scott Baum,
Jonathan Lindberg, Shep Fargotstein, Jon and Mary Jane Walker, and Ken
and Diane McNeil.
• The MFOI is a non-denominational, non-political organization.
• The MFOI mission is to educate the Mid-South community about the
positive aspects of Israeli society, its contributions in science, medicine,
technology, the arts, and to promote tourism.
• Membership, or FRIENDS, include major corporate sponsors, synagogues,
churches, interfaith groups, and over 7,000 individuals and families from
across the Mid-South.
• It is a charitable event – This year we are working with an Israeli
charity, Heart to Heart (www.afmda.org/heart-to-heart).
• Corporate sponsorship revenue is a major source of funding to keep the
festival free and allows all of Memphis’ synagogues to partake in a what is
becoming a major fundraiser for the entire Jewish community.
• The MFOI has no salaries. 99% of all money raised goes towards the
festival.
The Memphis Israel Festival is the only Memphis event where corporate
sponsors can touch the entire local Jewish community and the entire
pro-Israel community in one single marketing donation.
The Memphis Israel Festival is a FREE family oriented event.
There is no fee for parking or entry and no alcohol is served.
