popular events in the county and marks the opening of the
Christmas Holiday Season.

2015 - A Year in Review
Last year our 22nd anniversary Christmas Tree Festival included 90 sponsored trees, wreaths,
and countless arrangements. An estimated 5,000 visitors enjoyed the magnificent lighted displays. The Huntington Bank was our primary corporate sponsor. Gallery Room Sponsors were Parkway Honda, WTUZ Radio, and Dover Hydraulics. The combination of tree sales, paid admissions, and Preview Party auction proceeds helped accomplish
outstanding profits.
The Preview Party
More than 400 people attended the Preview Party on the eve of the Festival opening to the public. All received a Dan Warther
Woodworking ornament sponsored by Toland-Herzig Funeral Home. The “Large Tree Auction” was sponsored by Williams
Furniture and the “Small Tree Auction” sponsored by Rodriguez’s House of Stones. The Warther family provided a custom-made
knife set. All attracted generous bidders.
The People’s Choice Awards
The tree sponsored by Stark Truss Co. and created by Wendy Spillman and Janice Dickey titled “It’s a Small World” was the winner of the Small Tree Award. The favorite Large Tree was sponsored by Perfect Petals designed by Michele Briggs and titled “Let
it Snow.”

The Auxiliary Can Help
Auxiliary members are experts at finding high quality trees and decorations at low prices. We can help you purchase trees and
decorations at wholesale prices for the sponsor to decorate and/or completely design and decorate a tree on the sponsor’s behalf.
Benefits of Sponsoring A Tree
The Festival Committee promotes the event heavily. Tree sponsors are recognized with a tree sign naming the sponsor and
decorators viewed by thousands of visitors. Union Hospital will acknowledge the value of your donated tree as a charitable gift.
