NANTUCKET, MA AUGUST 4 THROUGH 8, 2014 8AM – NOON COST $595 ELITE HOCKEY TRAINING highly trained, professional athelete instructors unique and technical custom designed programs COMPREHENSIVE ON-ICE AND DRYLAND TRAINING skating, shooting, stick handling, checking team building and game scenario exercises nutritional and academic instruction 76% RETURN RATE ON PLAYERS INTENSIVE + COMPREHENSIVE OPTIMUM PERFORMANCE On-ice training is the most essential building block to a player's technical success. What separates Ice Works from our competitors is that all of the instructors take the time to make sure each individual is executing each drill properly. All drills are first demonstrated by the staff, and then the instructor works individually with a player while they are performing each drill to make sure that it is being properly executed. This emphasis on individual attention ensures that a player will obtain maximum results. The morning session will focus on improving a player's quickness, agility, balance, straightaway speed and explosive starts. Meanwhile, the afternoon session is designed to focus on situational play, stick handling, shooting, puck protection and proper checking techniques. Off-ice training is one of the most essential components to the total development of a hockey player. Hockey, being an explosive and intensive sport that requires the use of complex motor skills, demands the player to be in exceptional physical shape. The Ice Works dryland training program is designed to improve a player's strength, power, agility, endurance and quickness through many tools such as sprint intervals, plyometrics, agility courses, resistant and explosiveness training. Only the newest training equipment and techniques are incorporated to achieve these results. Medicine balls, bungee cords, parachutes, breakaway belts and professional slide boards are just a few of the training devices used in our program.
