A gateway to postgraduate study The universities of Calcutta, Delhi and Mumbai recognise LSE-led degrees in Economics, Management, Finance and the Social Sciences as sufficient to sit the entrance requirements exams for postgraduate study. Our degrees also open doors to top universities worldwide. Masters scholarships at LSE Scholarships for MSc study at LSE are awarded annually to University of London International Programmes students who have successfully completed an undergraduate degree directed by LSE and who have also been accepted for postgraduate study at LSE. To qualify, students will normally have, or expect to have, a First Class degree. These scholarships normally cover full fees and maintenance. Transferring to a UK university After your first year of study, you may be able to transfer to the second year of a similar degree as an on-campus student at one of the Colleges of the University of London or another university in the UK. A number of students from India have been accepted to LSE in their second year. However, there is a great deal of competition, so you will need to achieve good marks. Fast track to professional accreditation Graduates of the BSc Accounting and Finance and BSc Banking and Finance degrees who wish to continue to professional accreditation may be able to get exemptions for certain modules from six professional bodies. You should apply online through the webpage of your chosen programme: If you don’t meet our entrance requirements, you may still be eligible our Diplomas in Economics and Social Sciences. Successful completion of the Diplomas gives you entry to the second year of EMFSS degrees. They can only be studied with support from specific teaching institutions, which set their own entry requirements. Please see page 14 for the list of institutions. For EMFSS programmes you also need to have passed Year X mathematics on one of the All India Boards, or an equivalent qualification. Undergraduate entrance requirements The following qualifications from India meet our general entrance requirements: Year XII All India Boards (CBSE or CISCE or NIOS): Four acceptable academic subjects each passed at 70% or above OR an overall average of 70% from all subjects taken at Year XII. There are many other qualifications from India, including Year 12 State Board criteria, the International Baccalaureate Diploma and Cambridge International Examinations that may be accepted for entry.
