.~ Men's Fencing ~ 1989 Championships Highlights Columbia Wins Third Straight: Columbia withstood a strong challenge from Penn State to capture its third straight team title and its 11th crown overall. The Lions captured just one individual title but earned 88 of a possible 90 points. Penn State fencers Edward Mufel and Peter Cox won individual titles in the foil and sabre, respectively; Columbia's Jon Normile won his second straight epee title.
