Nobles thank you so very much for your vote of confidence by electing me as your potentate for 2016. I will do
my very best to serve this office with the honor and dignity it deserves.
We are off and running with the Installation, Key Man Meeting and the Moultrie car show all which have
already passed. I wish to thank everyone who helped or participated in these events. A special thanks and a very
deserving one to the 19 nobles who worked the Moultrie car show; it is hard work. Especially, when it is
freezing cold. You did a great job. Maybe, in May we will have more participation.
With these events history, we look forward to the Spring Ceremonial. It will be in Ashburn, Ga. March 25th and
26th. We should have a great time with all the activities planned. Headquarters is the Days Inn on Whittle Circle.
There are rooms blocked and RV parking across the road at Carroll’s Sausage. Contact Days Inn for your room
reservations @ 229-778-9016. Mention code 346494 to be identified as a Shriner. We need to all support this
event as we welcome the new candidates and their ladies.
If you have read my articles or heard me speak this will not come as a surprise. Gentlemen, we have to increase
our membership. Hasan cannot keep its doors open if this doesn't happen and happen pretty fast. Dues alone
will not get the job done. In any organization there is only about 9% of the members who work. As the numbers
in the organization go down, so does the number of workers and so goes the organization. LET’S NOT LET
THIS HAPPEN TO US. The easiest way to increase membership is for each member to bring one member
either by Restoration or as a new member.
I am so proud to be here! Thanks again for what you do as Shriners for the kids and for each other.
Fraternally,
Shriners International will be in charge of mailing out the new dues cards.
They are going to plastic cards that will be good for years. Please, be patient
during this process. You are to still mail your dues to Hasan Shrine.
2016 Hasan Shrine Sportsman’s Gun Raffle tickets are available in the office. If you would like
tickets, flyers or a list of Gun winnings call 229.432.1011. If you have any sold tickets, please get
them to the office in order for them to qualify for the next drawing. If you have any unsold
tickets that you are unable to sell, return them to the office.

From Your
Chief Rabban
Greetings Brother Nobles!
First, I want to say THANK
YOU for allowing me to
serve you as Chief Rabban
this year. Your continued
faith and confidence is both
humbling and appreciated.
We are off to a great start! Ill. Sir E. L. Sprayberry
had a wonderful key-man meeting and initiated some
new ideas and plans. One was assigning each Divan
member certain clubs and/or units. I will be working
with Albany Shrine Club, the Directors’ Staff and the
Ben Hillbillies. I will still be visiting other clubs and
units also, as time will permit.
I will be the Pot of Gold Chairman this year, also.
Our tickets should be ready soon to begin selling. I
am looking forward to selling out again this year as
we have done in the past two years. It is such a great
deal. I don’t know of anywhere else you can go with
a live band, great food, unlimited libations and a
chance to win up to $20,000.00 and numerous other
great prizes for only $100 per couple!
I would also like to encourage everyone to get ready
for the parade season. It is rapidly approaching. This
is our opportunity to show the communities what we
are about – “Having fun and helping kids”. It helps
keep Shriners’ Children’s Hospitals on their minds to
send new patients and donate to a great cause. If we
continue to support them, they will continue to
support us.
In closing, I encourage every Noble to take an active
part in their club or unit. Attend meetings and bring
prospective Shriners along. Participate in fundraising
and participate in parades. Some may think, “They’ll
get it done”, but it is always better to think, “We’ll get
it done”. Our success will be determined by our
individual and team efforts. I look forward to
working with every one of you this year, and if I can
ever help you in any way, please do not hesitate to let
me know. Looking forward to seeing each of you
very soon.
From Your
High Priest &
Prophet
Thank you Nobles for
electing me to
represent you as
Hasan's 2016 High
Priest and Prophet. I
am proud to be a
Shriner and I look
forward to working
with my fellow Nobles to accomplish wonderful
things. The Potentate has appointed me as the
Chairman for the Hasan Shriners 52 week
Sportsman’s Gun Raffle. I encourage all Nobles to
participate in this fund raiser and together we can
make it a great success. If you are unable to sell
your tickets, please return them to the Temple
office. We have people wanting to purchase
tickets. My cell number is 229-347-3417 and my
email is rickyhortman@ymail.com if I can assist
you. I congratulate all of my fellow Nobles who
serve on the Elected and Appointed Divan. Feel
free to contact Lady Robin or myself if we can be of
any assistance.
Fraternally yours,
Ricky Hortman

Special orders are never a problem!
It is with sincere and
heartfelt gratitude that I
thank each and every
one of you for granting
me your trust to become
the Oriental Guide of
Hasan this year.
Believe me, when I say, that I promise to do my
best to properly represent the needs of the total
body of Hasan in a proper and respectful manner. I
would also like to thank you for allowing me to
begin a drive towards emeritus status as an Imperial
Representative for Hasan. It is critically important
that we have as much representation for our Temple
before the International Shrine body. I assure you
that it is my intention to vote for the best interests of
Hasan this year and in all of the coming years.
Our great fraternity is facing many challenges.
Together, we can overcome anything that comes our
way. It is vitally important that we work together
this year to support the efforts of Hasan and of the
individual shrine clubs and units. Without unifying
our support, we are doomed to failure. I would like
to challenge every club and unit to support the
fundraising and charitable activities of your fellow
clubs and units. Together we can be an unstoppable
force, but individually isolated we will become
weak and broken.
Nobles, First I would
like to thank you for
electing me as
treasurer for this year.
I am looking forward
to working with this
Divan to make this a
very successful year. It will take all members
for Hasan to have a great year. We have several
fund raisers that will take all Nobles working
together to make them work.
Hasan Shrine cannot survive without these fund
raisers being successful. I urge everyone to take
part and support these events.
If there is anything that I can do to help please,
do not hesitate to contact me.
Again I look forward to working with everyone.
Denny Blair, P.P.
Thank you again for you valuable support and votes
of confidence. Please contact me at any time if you
have any questions or concerns. I am more than
happy to be of assistance to you in any way.

Greetings from your Recorder….
Thank you to everyone for having confidence in me and reelecting me as your Recorder. This
year as in the past, Hasan Shrine will have many new opportunities. Our membership is still
dropping. We have a membership chairperson, Brad Hurst. We all need to work with him to
make membership one our most important issues. Hasan currently has 784 members. Let us
set a goal to increase our membership. You know where we get new members? It is from your
Blue Lodge. Look around and see if you can find someone that wants to be a Shriner. Sign him
up, also on that same note, if you know someone that was a Shriner. Get him to agree to be
reinstated. Call the office and find out how much it will cost.
Something new this year is, Shriners International has mailed out dues notices for us and when
you pay your dues to Hasan, Shriners International will mail your new card. This may take a little longer for you to get your
card than from the office. Tampa is mailing cards twice a month. Please be patient with this new mailing process.
The trips to take patients to the Shrine Hospitals have increased over the years and our Transportation Fund needs your
help to provide these trips for our children. Your donations help to pay for the constantly increasing cost of fuel and
maintenance of the vehicles. Contributions to the transportation fund are always welcome and are tax deductible. We
always need more drivers to take a child and a family member to and from the hospitals. If you can drive the vans, and
have time, stop by the office and talk to Jim. Just let him know when you are available to drive. He will help you with the
paper work. This project is one of the most rewarding opportunities you will ever have.
Potentate, E. L. Sprayberry, has some new and some old events and moneymaking plans. We need your help to make it all
work for Hasan in 2016. This will be a very exciting year. Let us all work together and keep the fun in Shrine.
Wesley Pantone, PP

The following Parade Regulations and excerpts of General Order No. 1, titled Fundraising Activities, must be
printed once a year and provided to all the Nobility of Hasan Shrine in pursuant of the Rules and Regulations
of Shriners International.
SHRINE PARADE REGULATIONS
1. Non-Shriners. Other than the police escort, dignitaries, distinguished guests and Shriners Hospitals for Children patients, only Shriners are
permitted in Shrine parades.
2. Cadence. Marching cadence will be 110 steps to the minute, except for specialized units which may require a different cadence.
3. Interval. Intervals of not over 80 feet between temples and 40 feet between units are to be constantly maintained.
4. No Impersonations. No impersonations of ethnic groups, females or political figures are allowed in parades.
5. Vehicle Equipment. No motorized vehicles shall engage their emergency sirens or lights.
6. Safety Laws. Motorcycles, scooters, and other motorized vehicles shall obey local laws regarding speed, prudent operation and the use of hard
helmets. In states where helmets are not required, the temple potentate may direct helmet use for safety reasons instead of fezzes.
7. Throwing Objects. No objects shall be THROWN to spectators along the parade route. A Shriner may walk along the edge of a parade route and
hand out Shrine information or other appropriate objects. [No latex balloons.]
8. Demeaning Displays. No demeaning displays, or discharge of firearms of any type, or other items that may be considered in poor taste are
permitted.
9. Alcoholic Beverages. Members of participating units shall not drink any alcoholic beverages before or during any parade, and they shall be

10. Reviewing Stand.
At Imperial Session parades, a reviewing stand is reserved for the exclusive use of the Imperial Potentate, Imperial officers, Past Imperial
officers and such guests as invited by the Imperial Potentate.
At the reviewing stand during Imperial parades, temple divans will give the hand salute and must not stop to salaam. The Imperial
Potentate (or ranking Imperial officer) receives the salute. When temples from an Imperial Officer's state or province pass in review, that officer
receives the salute of these temples along with the Imperial Potentate.
At association of temples parades, the ranking Imperial officer along with the association president or potentate (as appropriate) receives
the salute of all temples. Other Imperial officers and association officers will follow the same procedure as above.
At association of temples parades, the temple potentate’s may leave their cars and accept the salutes of their units.
11."Country" Flags. No "country" flag shall be lowered or dipped when passing the Reviewing Stand or elsewhere.
12. Enforcement. Parade marshals shall enforce all Shrine parade regulations and they shall report any violator to the potentate of his temple.
Failure on the part of a temple potentate to cooperate with parade marshals shall be reported in writing to the Imperial Potentate.

3. Regulations. Shrine Parade Regulations 4,5,6,7,8,9, 11 and 13 apply to civic parades as well.

What an honor and a privilege it is to be able to have those words by our unit name. We have
worked hard to build the Roadrunners into the premier parade unit of Hasan and the
recognition is an honor to all the members of our unit. We take great pride in representing
our unit and Hasan in parades to the delight of the children. This would not be possible
without the fantastic support of our wives and families and we would personally like to thank
them for their earnest love for us and our cause.
If you would like to be a member of the best unit in Hasan, then please talk with any one of
our members and we will do all that we can to help you become a part of our Roadrunner
family.

Tifton Shrine Club
The Tifton Shrine Club closed out 2015 and rang in 2016 in traditional
and memorial fashion, with our annual New Year’s Eve Party. A
grand time was had by all (more especially by Brad Hurst)! 2016 has
already gotten off to a roaring start with the addition of a new member,
as Possum and his lovely and long suffering wife Margie have decided
to join our ranks. In early February, we conducted a Gospel Sing and
donated 100% of the funds raised to the Children’s Hospital.
Additionally, new officers were installed at our monthly meeting: Doug
Head, President; Allen Jernigan, Vice President; Brad Hurst,
Treasurer; and Ray Gene Williams as the new Secretary.
We are looking forward to a bright and successful 2016 and hope that
you will join us at our monthly meetings (3rd Monday of every month)
and at our fundraising events. We have made coming and staying at
our club much easier with the addition of six camper hook-ups that are
at your disposal. If you need directions to our shrine club, ask any
member, or use the following address: 557 Vanceville-County Line
Road, Tifton, GA. Come on out and join the fun!!!
A special THANK YOU to Christine Fowler! She
donated proceeds from her annual Ms. Track-ALicious pageant (Tracks for Hunters fundraiser that
raises money for paralyzed individuals needing an
outdoor wheelchair. It makes it possible for them to
hunt, fish, go to the beach, whatever they want to do
in the outdoors where a normal wheelchair would
not go.) to Hasan Shrine. Not only did she pay for all
the ceiling tiles in the foyer to be replaced but, she
also took the time to see the project through from
start to finish. Hasan Temple’s foyer looks so much
better!
