ABOUT THE SHAOLIN LUOHAN TEMPLE
Shaolin Luohan Temple has been in operation since 2007 and was formally registered and recognized as a charitable organization in
2009. Its mandate is to help improve the quality of life by sharing Shaolin spirit, skills, knowledge and culture with all people
regardless of race, gender or age. The Shaolin Luohan Temple of Canada is a strong organization and has participated in several
community events and programs, including the annual Taste of Asia event (since 2007), the Vaughan Peace Tree Festival (2010 and
2011), the annual Ching Kwok Buddhist Temple Mother's Day Celebration (since 2010) and the City of Vaughan’s Chinese New Year
Celebration (since 2011). On September 26, 2013, the Temple was featured on CBC’s “Masters of Our City: Keepers of an Ancient
Culture”. The Temple has hosted free activities including the annual Shaolin students Summer Camp, annual Mid-Autumn Lantern
Festival since 2011 and Shaolin Camping Retreats annually.

INTERNATIONAL COMPETITION – AN OPPORTUNITY FOR STUDENTS AND SPONSORS
Shaolin students have taken part in the annual Canadian Kung Fu Championships and have been awarded over 50 medals. And, now
The Shaolin Luohan Temple is proud to provide the opportunity for exclusive students to represent Canada at the 10th Zhengzhou
China International Shaolin Wushu Festival (World Kung Fu Competition), which will take place in China in October 2014.
The organization is reaching out to you with the hope that you can help us ensure that these privileged students can proudly
represent our country in this international tournament. Your support and contribution will go towards funding students training and
travel expenses. This is a tremendous opportunity for these students. The experience they will gain as participants in the World
Wushu (Kung Fu) competition will serve them well for years to come.
The following information outlines the available Sponsorship packages:
Shaolin Luohan Temple Title Sponsorship Package: $3000
You will be considered a Shaolin Luohan Temple Title Sponsor. Your company name/logo will be on all team
competition apparel, displayed on our website and printed in our team newsletters from the date of your sponsorship
until December 2014.
Gold Sponsorship Package: $1500
You will be considered a Gold Sponsor. Your company name/logo will be on all team competition apparel.
Silver Sponsorship Package: $500
This package allows you to Sponsor three (3) students of your choice. Your company name/logo will be on the
students’ competition apparel.
Bronze Sponsorship Package: $200
This package allows you to Sponsor an individual student of your choice. Your company name/logo will be on the
student’s competition apparel.
All Sponsors will have their company name/logo printed on a banner that will be displayed throughout the
competition in China.

More Information about the Shaolin Luohan Template
Master Shi Guo Song has established the Shaolin Luohan Temple and several institutes in Canada offering Kung Fu, Qi Gong, and
Meditation classes. Master Shi Guo Song’s disciples Shi Chang Xin and Shi Chang Dao offer their teachings at the institutes.
This includes the school located in Markham, which is led by Master Shi Guo Song, the Laurentides School led by Shi Chang Xin in
St. Jerome near Montreal (2011), and the school in the City of Toronto located at Queen and Spadina is managed by Shi Chang Dao
(2012). In total, over 1,000 students, across the three schools, actively participate in this art form.
As of 2007, Master Shi Guo Song and his disciples have offered their teachings, including Qi Gong and Meditation, on a volunteer
basis to the seriously ill and seniors.
Shi Chang Xin has been teaching Qi Gong at prison facilities since 2011, while in 2013 Shi Chang Dao begin teaching Meditation and
Qi Gong on a volunteer basis to the parents of children at Sick Kids Hospital.
