TRAVEL INFORMATION ROAD: The racecourse is located just 20 minutes from Junction 36 of the M6 motorway, although racegoers are advised to arrive early on all racedays. Cartmel Racecourse has very few permanent facilities, so we dedicate a section of the hospitality marquee to owners and trainers where you will find a bar and a selection of snacks and light bites. If you would like to book a seat in one of the restaurants, please mention that you have a horse running when you book (advance booking is essential) - as we will deduct £20 from the normal package price. RAIL: Cark-in-Cartmel Station is 2 miles from the race Free camping spaces are available (one per runner) to owners in the racecourse camp-site, subject to availability. OWNERS‟ FACILITIES TRAVEL INFORMATION The Owners and Trainers entrance is located adjacent to the Owners & Trainers Car Park at the northern end of the racecourse enclosures, near the unsaddling area and pre-parade ring. The Owners & Trainers Club is situated on the first floor balcony level of the Melrose Stand, the stand closest to the parade ring. The Club is reserved exclusively for the use of owners and trainers with a runner on the day. It is situated close to both the Weighing Room and the Parade Ring. Drinks and lunch will be served from 11.30am onwards. Complimentary tea and coffee is available. A three-course chef‟s carvery luncheon is served at a great value price and operates throughout the afternoon on a non-reserved basis. Afternoon Tea is also available.
