Hi, everyone! Welcome to my first issue of my magazine. Looking back at my childhood years in Asia,
my life was just another soul eager to meet life’s
challenges. I’ve achieved certain goals, went through
experiences, and trials that defined me as a person.
When I was a young girl, I climbed trees, built sand
castles, spent the whole day coloring books and papers and swam fast competitively. I didn’t even shave
my legs, wear makeup, and did not even have the
courage to wear mini skirts. Every day seems to be
the same since I’ve been raised by conservative parents. Through the years, I was able to discover the
artistic side of me. My newfound interests in fashion
and designing became a part of my life that I never
thought I would be good at it in a million years.
Being part of the best school for design in America
was a dream come true! Parsons The new School for
Design, is known to be one of the most prestigious
fashion schools in the world. It is known to have
educated some of the most renowned and innovative designers which include Alexander Wang, Tom
Ford, Marc Jacobs, Donna Karan, Derek Lam and
Jenna Lyons to name a few. Studying at Parson’s
thought me how to be passionate about everything
I do. It has given me the courage to express myself
by not being afraid of showing how I feel inside
through art.
As you go through the pages of my magazine, your
eyes will be amazed how colors were used on every
page to express how beauty and fashion affects one’s
life. I’ve always believed in the quality of pictures
and have enjoyed looking at them since I was young.
Colors for me is like a person’s mood. Our life each
day is like a box crayons that colors our world, and
so as makeup as it is an extension of one’s personality. I want my magazine to symbolize hope and
despair to which mankind is forever subjected. I
would like my viewers to connect with my stories
and photos that shows the history and growth of
the most exciting creations in the fashion world.
You will discover the uprising story of fashion and
amazing times in which it existed as it gives you an
imagination how people lived their lives. Every photo, story, and pages in my magazine is dedicated to all
women out there today to inspire them to feel beautiful
inside and out and to live a life of equality.
