Candlelight March & Celebration
Join the City of Hammond for their Annual
Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Annual Candlelight
March and Celebration, “Living The Dr eam” on
Monday, January 18, 2016 at 6:45 am, at Hammond
Civic Center, 5825 Sohl Avenue, Hammond, IN
46320. Line-up for the march begins at Hammond

Get A Sneak Peek of the Towle Theater’s
Upcoming 13th Season!
For more than a decade, the Towle Theater in
downtown Hammond has brought new and exciting
theatrical works to the Northwest Indiana region and
2016 is no different. On January 8-10, 2016, the Towle
will give audiences a sneak peek at its upcoming 13th
season. The season Preview features a reception
beginning at 7:00 pm and performance at 8:00 pm on
Friday and Saturday. On Sunday, the
reception is at 1:00 pm and the
performance is at 2:00 pm.
Tickets are only $10 and you
may apply a portion of your
purchase towards a 2016 Season Pass. For tickets and

Community Meeting with East Chicago
Police Department
The East Chicago Police Department will host a
discussion open to the public regarding the East Chicago
Police Department on Tuesday, January 5, 2016,
beginning at 6:00 pm in the lobby of the East Chicago
Police Department, 2301 E. Columbus Drive, East
Chicago, IN 46312. “We hope to see people from all
walks of life to include representatives from our
business, educational and faith based communities. It is
our hope that this panel will increase our efforts to gain
the public’s trust, that we will provide a means for all to
better understand the role and challenges our officer’s
