order - First Baptist Church Shreveport
Welcome to First Baptist Church,
Shreveport. We are a family of
faith, from diverse backgrounds
and ages, committed to following
Jesus together. We strive to grow
together in faith, to love God in
our worship, and to embrace the
call of Jesus in missions and
ministry. I hope you experience God in a special way in worship
today. We have Bible Study groups for all ages at 9:15 am each
Sunday, and these are a great way to get to know the church.
Welcome to the First Baptist Family!

We invite the church family to memorize Luke 11:1-4, 9-10 in the month
of March.
One day Jesus was praying in a certain place. When he finished, one of
his disciples said to him, “Lord, teach us to pray, just as John taught his
disciples.” He said to them, “When you pray, say: “Father, hallowed be
your name, your kingdom come. Give us each day our daily bread.
Forgive us our sins, for we also forgive everyone who sins against us.
And lead us not into temptation.’”
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find;
knock and the door will be opened to you. For everyone who asks
receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door
will be opened.” Luke 11:1-4, 9-10

Holy, Holy, Holy
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
Early in the morning our song shall rise to thee;
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!
Holy, holy, holy! All the saints adore thee,
Casting down their golden crowns around the glassy sea;
Cherubim and seraphim falling down before thee,
Who wert and art and evermore shalt be.
Holy, holy, holy! Though the darkness hide thee,
Though the eye of sinful man thy glory may not see,
Only thou art holy; there is none beside thee,
Perfect in power, in love, and purity.
Holy, holy, holy! Lord God Almighty!
All thy works shall praise thy name, in earth and sky and sea;
Holy, holy, holy! Merciful and mighty,
God in three persons, blessed Trinity!

blessed us; let us praise God whose steadfast love
endures forever.

On the Third Day
Allen Pote
Jesus was crucified, He died and was buried,
Jesus was crucified, on the third day Christ arose.
Christ is risen from the dead, He is risen as He said
He is alive, He is alive, alleluia.
Christ has conquered death and sin,
Died for us our souls to win,
He is alive, He is alive, alleluia.

Hosanna, Loud Hosanna
Hosanna loud hosanna, the little children sang,
Through pillared court and temple, the lovely anthem rang,
To Jesus who had blessed them, close folded to His breast,
The children sang their praises, the simplest and the best.
From Olivet they followed, a happy joyous crowd,
Their large palm branches waving, and singing clear and loud,
The Lord of men and angels, rode on in simple joy,
And welcome all the children, each little girl and boy.
Katie Mussat
How Great Is Our God
The splendor of a King, clothed in majesty,
Let all the earth rejoice, all the earth rejoice.
He wraps himself in Light, and darkness tries to hide,
And trembles at His voice, trembles at His voice.
Chorus:
(continued)
Hosanna in the highest, that ancient song we sing,
For Christ is our Redeemer, the Lord of heaven our King,
O may we ever praise Him, with heart and life and voice,
And in His holy presence, eternally rejoice.
