• The TWI is based on 25 years of experience
• The TWI collects data from the average 2 min.
wind on both thresholds and the wind at 850ft
• Hence, the TWI itself does not measure
turbulene, rather it predicts turbulence based
on experience
• In case the TWI expects severe turbulence, it
