Climate change is affecting hummingbirds. The blooming of nectar flowers and arrival of hummingbirds in their breeding areas is out of sync. You can help Audubon scientists learn more and develop hummingbird conservation efforts by participating in Audubon’s Hummingbirds at Home citizen science program. It is simple, just create a hummingbird garden and report your sightings online or from your mobile device. Your hummingbird garden can be as simple as a planter or a whole backyard. Visit Audubon.org/hummingbird today to learn more and report your sightings. Together we can help the hummingbirds! Many neighbors plan family vacations, long weekend getaways, time at the lake or picnics and BBQ’s with friends. However you plan on spending your summer, I wish each and every one of you a fun, safe and enjoyable summer. • Motorized vehicles kept on property are required to be plated, and in operation. Any vehicle that does not have a license plate or is inoperable for 3 days or more is required to be kept in your garage or removed from the property. I want to take a brief moment and reflect on what we have accomplished over the past several months in Pinnacle Gardens. As many of you have seen, maintaining the pond and fountains has been a priority for the board. Once the cold weather subsided, we replaced the broken fountain with two new fountains based on professional recommendations. The two fountains add to the entrance as well as aerate the pond to prevent algae and bacteria from forming. • Garbage and recycling containers are to be brought in promptly by 10 am Saturday morning and kept out of street sight (i.e. not placed in front of your garage). • Pets are to be kept on a leash and not left unattended in yards; excessive barking is prohibited by the POA as well as by the City of Rogers. • Any architectural improvements (i.e. decks, pools, fences, parking pads, landscaping, etc.) must be approved by the board prior to commencing with construction. We also had our bi-yearly garage sale and annual neighborhood social with the goal of getting to know our neighbors better. Lastly, upon receiving poor garbage and recycling pick up service, we reached out to the city of Rogers and the Inland Services group to address the issues and improve the service to our community. As always, THANK YOU for making Pinnacle Gardens a great place to live. Please feel free to reach out to any of the Board Members with any questions, concerns and feedback. As a friendly reminder for new and existing residents, please remember the bylaws state: • Landscaping must maintained, flowerbeds weeded and mulched and dead plants removed/replaced. Thanks again and enjoy the summer! • Parking on the streets is prohibited. Exceptions are made for guests, visitors and workers. Todd Pastor president@pinnaclegardenspoa.com • Trailers, boats, campers, etc. are not permitted on property. 4 PINNACLE GARDENS COMMUNITY NEWSLETTER Pinnacle Gardens Property Owners Association Board of Directors Todd Pastor, President Ida Fineberg, Treasurer Jeff Amos, Landscaping Randall Hobson, Architectural Pinnacle Gardens Property Owners Association 5203 Sloan Circle Rogers, AR 72758 SUMMER 2014
