The depot is located within the Pampus area, the main oil harbour in Norrköping. Tekniska Verken has decided to lease the oil depot to the international market with help from Contango Storage who will market and administrate the depot. 2 Location Norrköping is located 150 km south west of Stockholm and the harbour is one of the few harbours on the east cost of Sweden that can handle larger ships. It’s an ideal harbour with good draft and ice-free all-year-round. Norrköping is a strategic location for transport from the Baltic States or distribution to the larger Stockholm Area. The distance to Stockholm, great depth and facilities makes Norrköping an interesting choice in this region. 3 Technical description 3.1 Jetty The oil jetty at Pampus will be used for vessels discharging/loading product in and out of the tanks. The depot can discharge from vessel and load both vessels and trucks. The pumping capacity for discharging vessels is 1,600 m3/hour and up to 1,000 m3/hour loading vessels. 4 Environmental and safety protection Tekniska Verken and Port of Norrköping are certified according to the environmental standard Iso 14001 and are continuously working with environmental issues to be able to use resources as efficiently as possible and reduce noise and emissions to air, land and water. The aim is to promote a long-term sustainable development. To prevent oil from being released into the seawater. The jetty is equipped with an oil spill protection system, all potential oil spills on the jetty will be transported to an oil well. Should an accident occur and oil escape into the seawater or onto land despite these prevention measures, Port of Norrköping has a well-developed action plan for decontamination. The Jetty, including berthing vessels, will be thoroughly protected against fire. Fire fighting equipment can be connected to a local fire water system.
