Machine Care Programme INTENSIVE
Over a period of time dirt particles, starch and sometimes
lime can be build up inside the machine leading to bacteria
and poor machine hygiene.
Together with the specially formulated INTENSIVE tablets

Lowest Running Cost and Perfect Result secured by an integral Soil Sensor*
The sensor and the VISIOTRONIC control reduce the consumption of water (subsequently
also chemical and energy) in case of low soil level to the minimum. Just 2 litres per cycle are
enough for a perfect result.
In case of more soil load the control adjusts the rinse volume right away for the on going cycle
- i.e. perfect results and significant less consumption of water, energy and chemicals.
e.g. switching** to the Hobart FX to wash 50 cycles/day, 365 days could save
1700 kWh of energy, 20000 l water and 65 l chemicals per year
This would reduce carbon (CO2) emissions by over 1000 kg*** p.a. ... from just one machine !!

CONSISTENT PERFORMANCE
Conventional commercial dish/glasswashers have 2 problems:
1. Most of the hot and fresh rinse water is lost through the
tank overflow system
2. Debris is accumulated in the wash tank - leading to the
need of regular tank water draining and refilling
The unique Hobart GENIUS-X fine filter system is continuously filtering all debris out of
the wash water and is pumping it to the drain parallel to each cycle. As a result the wash
water is kept much cleaner – less need to drain and refill
Furthermore all the fresh hot rinse water is kept in the tank for a effective regeneration.
GENIUS-X reduces detergent consumption by up to 30% and reduces the energy
consumption of the tank heater

Optimised GENIUS-X2
Already a few seconds after the start of the wash cycle most of the debris is catched by the
filter system. The optimised GENIUS-X2 is taking the soil out of the filter by a partial drain of
0.4 litre already a few seconds after cycle start. Resulting in an even more efficient removal
of debris.

High wash temperature is the most important element to improve the wash performance.
Chemicals, water pressure and water circulation have much less importance.
Secured tank temperature / hygienic result:
•
Due to the benefits of GENIUS-X we just need a small 0.8 kW tank heating element inside
the tank to keep the wash temperature at 60°C.
•
Different to most competitors on the market: the low rating heater does not require an
interlock against booster/wash pump – i.e. it actually can operate all the time – even during
high load operation.

0-Level Chemical Sensors
Sensors in the machine
Integral sensors automatically identify when
detergent or rinse aid is missing.
A clear color and text indication on the display
informs the operator about low level chemicals and
is securing the hygienic result less indepentend
from the attention of operators.
Finally the machine also automatically is prefilling
the hoses after providing new (full) external
containers.

Strainer Control System
Clean wash water and accurate detergent dosage are key factors in achieving a clean and
hygienic wash result. An efficient filter system is useless if it is not in the right position.
The new filter control has an interlock
which is continuously monitored by the
VISIOTRONIC control. Only if the filters
are correctly located the wash cycle can
be activated.

Rinse System ACCURINSE
The rinse efficiency of conventional machines fully
depends on the pressure of the local water supply.
HOBART PROFI and PREMAX machines operate
fully independent from the supply pressure.

PERFECT WASH RESULTS
Wide Angle Nozzle
Washing efficiency depends largely on the distribution
of the detergent solution and the avoidance of any
masked areas. Spraying angles and the precision of
the wash jets are vital factors in achieving a powerful,
searching wash action and the new HOBART designed
nozzles provide a substantially broader and more
precise spraying pattern.
Compared with conventional and fixed wash arm
systems the detergent solution is disturbed more
efficiently, masking is avoided and the wash result,
especially in the corners, is considerably improved !

LESS MANUAL CLEANING
Basic Clean Cycle
New glasses often have a kind of a covering which can not be removed with a
normal cleaning process in the machine - leading to bad rinse/drying results.
Furthermore glasses as well as china tend to build up coverings/deposits during
usage (e.g. starch, other minerals, sometimes even food soil), which also can not
be removed with a normal cleaning process in the machine.
To achieve perfect results glasses and china need to be cleaned manually from
time to time with a high concentrated solution of detergent.
PROFI and PREMAX undercounters can cover this in the machine with an
automatic cycle
(longer wash, increased temperature, increased rinse volume, manual dosing of dedicated powder detergent)
Value for the customer: less manual involvement / treatment of washware to
keep it in optimum condition

How does it work ?
Instead of rinsing with 2.0 litre hot water per cycle the PREMAX FP operates with a
two step rinse:
The first step is a conventional rinse to remove re-deposition of soil, but with ~1.0
litre per cycle only. Furthermore the rinse aid concentration is significantly
reduced (by 40%
0,18 g/l)
The second step is a steam rinse: steam will be generated by the booster and
directed into the wash chamber (~0.04 kg per cycle). The steam is reaching all
positions within the chamber – no problems with shielding zones. On the
washware the steam is condensating and rinsing the remaining residues of
detergent.

PREMAX: Performance / Capacity
The PREMAX FP operates at around 63° C wash temperature (standby setting 65°C), achieving superior cleaning
results and therefore shorter cycles and even higher capacity.
Only 80s cycle time
means capacity to cover several hundred plates per hour
HOBART research has identified that higher washing temperatures optimize detergent
performance. Chemicals, water pressure and water circulation have much less
importance.

PREMAX: Less Manual Cleaning
Cutlery Cycle
Cutlery is the most difficult ware to clean – conventional machines most often can
not achieve a good result. Part of the problem is that cutlery racks often lead to
shadow zones (e.g. spoons covering other cutlery) – the wash water can not get
access to all items.
This means a lot of extra manual involvement for the staff: presoaking in sinks,
manual pre-cleaning, double checking the results and frequent second runs.
To achieve perfect results Hobart has developed a dedicated cycle with adpated
wash and rinse parameters (increased cycle time, increased wash temperature, increased rinse
volume, slightly reduced rinse temperature). *
The PREMAX FP is supporting the efficiency with steam injection during the wash
operation. As steam is expanding into all areas there is no problem with shielding
and shadow zones.
Value for the customer: less manual involvement / treatment of cutlery to get a
good result
