Recycle Caps
with Aveda
Aveda Mission
“Our mission at Aveda is to care for the
world we live in, from the products we
make to the ways in which we give
back to society. At Aveda, we strive to
set an example for environmental
leadership and responsibility, not just in
the world of beauty, but around the
world.”
Why Recycle Caps?
• Caps become trash and dangerous
pollutants, littering beaches & oceans
• Caps are mistaken for food by many sea
animals and eaten
• These animals may end up choking on the
plastic or it can cause them to become
malnourished eventually causing their death
The Challenge
• The U.S. does not have a broad scale
program in place to recycle plastic
caps
• Caps are not commonly accepted at
curbside or in residential recycling
programs
