2002 -1st Beauty
Company with 100%
PCR PET Bottles and
Jars
2003 - Aveda
introduces a new
refillable lip color case
made from 85% PCR
resin and clamshell
made from 100% PCR
newsprint.
2004 - Aveda introduces
makeup and eyeliner pencils
manufactured with FSC (Forest
Stewardship Council) certified
wood
2006 - Folding cartons for the
Light the Way candle are
made from Aveda make ready
sheets, the candle glass is
made from 95% post
consumer recycled glass, and
the lid is made from 100%
post consumer recycled PET.
2007 – 1st in our industry
95% PCR HDPE bottles
2008 - Aveda develops
the first 100% PCR
Polypropylene cap and
100% PCR HDPE bottle
for the limited edition
30th anniversary Clove
Shampoo.
2009 to present– Earth
Month Light the Way
Candle container moved to
reclaimed beverage bottle
– zero new glass produced
2010 - Botanical
Kinetics line moves
from frosted green
glass to 100% PCR
PET for all sizes
2010 – Aveda using 85% PCR

2011 - Aveda
increases PCR
content in tubes
to 65% with the
introduction of
Color Conserve

2012 – All Aveda sampling
tubes phased into the capcollected resin from the
Aveda Caps Recycling
Program.
2012 - Invati Shampoo
and Stress Fix Body
Lotion bottles are
launched in 100% PCR
HDPE. Invati Revitalizer
and Stress Fix Bath Salts
in 100% PCR PET.
2013 – Introduced
bio-plastic/PCR blend tubes
with the launch of Dry Remedy
conditioner & masque
2014 – Commercialized the
first 100% post consumer
waste, coated paperboard for
use in our Invati Trio Pack
folding carton
