CONTENTS We are holding an event where people can enjoy and experience Japanese culture and pop culture, as well as purchasing Japanese products. Through exhibition, co-sponsoring and performance, it promotes Japan tourism and industry which arouses consumer interest to visit Japan. Sell and Exhibit Japanese Products Matsuri Stage Event contents Event content •Display and sales-on-sight targeted on consumers. •Exhibiting and sales of Japanese products (food, electronic appliances etc.) •Introduction and promotion of touristic places in Japan, and sales of touristic products. Performance event to introduce Japanese pop cultures, and traditional entertainments and dance etc. of different parts of Japan. 1. Matsuri : Dance performances of Awa-odori etc. and cosplay show on stage and on streets in open square within venue. 2. Stage event : Entertainment performances on stage in event venue. INFORMATION for Exhibit, Logo-sponsor and Performer (As of May2016. *Please note that it is subject to change.) ● Potential performer of Matsuri stage (*Participating in a stage performance is free of charge and no subsidy in principal.) 1) Organizations, clubs or groups with Japanese based in Singapore and Singaporean. 2) Organizations, clubs or groups with Japanese based either in Japan or other countries around the world, and Singaporean. 3) Organizations, clubs or groups belonging to or sent by a local authorities. 4) Professional or amateur organizations, clubs or groups who can perform Japanese traditional culture, sports, fashion, pop culture etc. <Application accepting schedule> •March: Starting call for performers •End of May: First deadline of participation applicants •End of July: Final deadline of application for performance •August – October: Contacting and coordination with performers <Photo: Awa-odori dance performance> <Rules on performance> • We may ask you to refrain from performing, in case a performance contains expressions that may offend public order and morals, or it is strongly related to politics, thought, or religion. • We may ask you to withdraw application if merchandises and services, performances are against this idea of event to promote authentic Japanese culture. • Secretariat Office holds rights to decide whether a performance is permissible or not. • Even after an application is submitted, if Secretariat Office decides the performance is impermissible, we will ask you to refrain from performance. <Note about performance> • Secretariat Office is to make decision on performing order and schedules, and number of performances. • Please be informed that duration of performance, reduction of performance number etc. are subject to change from schedule set in advance. 7 6.
