Look up to see a boulder stuck in the ceil ing. Send a Bombchu up the wall to destroy the boulder and a hole in the ceiling with a Hookshot point will be revealed. Use your Longshot to pull yourself up into the room above. SPIRIT TEMPLE Floor Connection Boss Key Mirror Shield 2 SILVER GAUNTLET STRENGTH Now that you are able to wear the Silver Gauntlets as an adult, you can push the giant movable block you find here. Push it until it falls into place, allowing you access to the room with the Desert Colossus statue. PAGE 1/5 MASTER QUEST – SPIRIT TEMPLE 3 UNFINISHED BUSINESS Enter the door on the 2nd Floor to reach the point at Callout 3. When you visited the Spirit Temple as a child, you were able to reveal a small treasure chest by bombing the hole in the rock wall with a Bombchu. The sunlight activated the sun symbol on the floor and dropped a small treasure chest. You couldn't reach the chest as a child, but as an adult you can use the Longshot to target the front of the small treasure chest and pull yourself up to it. Inside is a Small Key 4 7 RETRIEVE THE CRATE Play the Song of Time next to the higher Time Block. The lower Time Block on the far side of the room will disappear, revealing a blue switch. The higher Time Block will be replaced by two new Time Blocks. The one on top will have a small crate on top of it. Carefully cross the room and stand next to the blue switch and play the Song of Time a second time. The smaller Time Block below on the other side will disappear, and the Time Block over the blue switch will reappear. Cross the room again and play the Song of Time a third time next to the Time Block with the crate on top of it. On the other side of the room, the Time Block over the blue switch will disappear. The small Time Block will reappear with the crate on it. Pick up the crate and place it on the blue switch to keep the door unlocked and enter the next room. A SMALL KEY FOR LATER Activate the Crystal Switch to open the gate leading to the 1st Floor. Drop down and head through the door. Hit the rusted switch with the Megaton Hammer. A small treasure chest will fall in the room beyond the crawlspace. You can't collect it as an adult, but you don't need it to complete the Spirit Temple. Return for it later as a child when you want to collect all of the Gold Skulltulas in the Spirit Temple. For Gold Skulltula locations in the Spirit Temple, see the Downloads section of this website. 8 TRICK CHEST Defeat the two Dinalfos that drop into the room. Beware: the small treasure chest is a trap. If you open it, cold air will rush out and you will be temporarily frozen in a block of ice. Hit the small treasure chest with your sword to unlock one of the doors and head through. 5 THE OTHER STAIRCASE To reach the staircase at Callout 5, climb the staircase until you see a lit torch. Target either the lit torch or the Floormaster on the other staircase with your Longshot and pull yourself across. From there you can collect two small treasure chests. At the top of the staircase, use the Lens of Truth to locate a small treasure chest on the upper-right ledge. Use your Longshot to latch onto the chest and pull yourself over. From the ledge, jump to the hand of the statue. Play Zelda's Lullaby to drop another small treasure chest on the bottom floor. Watch out for the Wallmaster, collect the chest, then return to the 3rd Floor at Callout 5. Enter the locked door, then use your Longshot to get over the flames. 6 9 INVISIBLE FLOORMASTER On the staircase, activate the Lens of Truth to locate the invisible Floormaster. Eliminate it to unlock the door leading to the next room. BEAMOS BOMBING Defeat all four Beamos to reveal a small treasure chest and unlock the door you came in. The closest Beamos only takes one Bomb, but the rest will require the careful aiming of two Bombs when their eyes are open. SPIRIT TEMPLE PAGE 2/5 MASTER QUEST – SPIRIT TEMPLE 10 COLLECT THE MIRROR SHIELD Like your previous visit to the Spirit Temple as a child, you will have to fight an Iron Knuckle guarding treasure. Swipe at it to bring it to life, then backflip when it swings at you. Retaliate with a jumping attack. Try to lure the Iron Knuckle next to the pillars so its swings will destroy them and reveal Hearts. When the Iron Knuckle is defeated, the door will unlock. When you step outside you can collect the Mirror Shield from the large treasure chest on the ledge. 11 TOMB OF THE BOSS KEY Play the Sun's Song to stun the Gibdo, then attack it from behind. When the room is clear, open the intricate chest and collect the Boss Key. 13 THE WALLMASTER'S SMALL KEY Use your Longshot to reach the staircase and enter the unlocked door on the 2nd Floor. There are Wallmasters in this room, which makes it difficult to fight the Stalfos. As long as you can keep jumping and dodging, you shouldn't have a problem defeating the two Stalfos first. It's possible to release more Wallmasters if the reflection from your Mirror Shield touches the any of the sun symbols on the wall. When the two Stalfos are gone, reflect the sunlight to burn the sun symbols on the wall, releasing any remaining Wallmasters. Defeat them all to unlock the gate, then fall to the 1st Floor. Head past the moving spikes in the hallway to the room at Callout 15. REFLECT THE SUN Return to the room at Callout 8 and play the Song of Time to remove the Time Block. Equip the Mirror Shield and step into the sunlight. Use the R Button to aim the reflection from the Mirror Shield onto the sun symbol on the wall. This will activate the sun symbol and unlock the other door in the room. Play the Song of Time again to remove the Time Block from the doorway and enter the next room. 12 14 15 MULTIPLE CHOICE There are three ways to go from here, but the locked door requires an extra Small Key revealed in Callout 4. Another path leads to the first room of the Spirit Temple, but it's blocked by a fountain. That leaves only one way to go. Head into the room at Callout 16 first, then return to the room at Callout 15. 16 LEEVER PIT When you walk into the room, you will be locked in. Jump down into the pit and fight the Leevers that surface. If you defeat enough of them, a larger blue Leever will appear. Defeat this super-sized monster to reveal a small treasure chest. Use the Longshot to pull yourself to the chest, then play Zelda's Lullaby on the Royal Crest to unlock the door. LIGHT UP THE ROOM Return to the room with the Desert Colossus statue. There are three unlit torches on pedestals surrounding the Desert Colossus. You must quickly light all three torches to unlock the 2nd Floor door leading to Callout 14. Stand on the steps near the middle torch to get a good viewpoint for all three torches, then use your Fire Arrows to light them. Try lighting the side torches first, then the middle one. All three torches need to be burning at the same time to unlock the door, so if you're having difficulty aiming your shots, check to see that the other torches haven't gone out. SPIRIT TEMPLE PAGE 3/5 MASTER QUEST – SPIRIT TEMPLE 17 THE SILVER RUPEES When you visited the Spirit Temple before, you may have noticed that there were a few Silver Rupees in the first room, but the rest were behind a fountain. Now that you can explore more of the Spirit Temple, you can enter the room on the other side of the fountain. You will see the rest of the Silver Rupees in this room. Collect two of the Rupees, then destroy the boulder with the Megaton Hammer and hit the rusty switch. When the fountain lowers, collect the Silver Rupee in the fountain then pick up the other two in the first room next to the cobra statues. The last small treasure chest hidden in this room will drop. Inside is a Small Key. 20 21 18 SLIDE TO THE SIDE Use your Longshot to reach the hole above and head back to the room at Callout 6 where you fought the four Beamos. Use the Small Key you just collected to unlock the last door in the room. At Callout 16 you will need to climb a wall with moving surfaces. Before you start climbing, eliminate all of the Fire Keese above to keep them from attacking you while you climb. You will climb up a stationary wall and past two moving walls to another stationary wall. The best way to accomplish this is to wait on the edge of a stationary wall until the moving wall makes a return pass. Climb up to the moving wall, then wait as the wall moves twice. Continue to the next moving wall, then climb to the next stationary wall. First concentrate on collecting the Silver Rupees to unlock the door above, then make your way to the top. SUN SYMBOL SECRETS A COLOSSAL SUNBURN Stand on the elevator and use the Mirror Shield to direct the sunlight onto the sun symbol, which sends you down through the floor to the room with the Desert Colossus statue. Use the Mirror Shield to aim the sunlight onto the face of the Desert Colossus, while keeping an eye out for the Wallmaster’s shadow. The face will break apart, revealing a door behind it. Use the Longshot to pull yourself to the exposed door. Enter and use the Boss Key on the next door. 22 19 BENDING LIGHT In the next room, eliminate the Green Bubbles and Dinalfos. You will see two cobra mirrors in this area, one of which is engulfed in flames. At Callout 20, use the Mirror Shield to reflect sunlight onto the sun symbol. It will extinguish the flames surrounding the cobra mirror for a brief amount of time. Grab a handle on this mirror and rotate it so it faces the large mirror through the bars. Move the other cobra mirror so it faces the one with flames around it. This should send a beam of sunlight to the large mirror over the elevator. THE SORCERESS SISTERS You will be greeted by Koume and Kotake, the two witches you saw outside the Spirit Temple as a child. As they retreat, they will send an Iron Knuckle after you. When you defeat the Iron Knuckle, its collapsing armor will reveal a brainwashed Nabooru inside. The two Sorceress Sisters will return once again and take Nabooru away with them. Head through the door to save Nabooru. In the next room, play Zelda's Lullaby on the Royal Crest to unlock the door to your left. The locked door in front of you leads to a room with Gold Skulltulas. You can find a Small Key to enter this room by using the Lens of Truth in a nearby room. Enter the room to the left. Destroy the crates at Callout 17, uncovering a rusty switch. Hit the switch with the Megaton Hammer to unlock the two nearby doors. One of the doorways remains blocked by iron bars, so enter the other open door. SPIRIT TEMPLE PAGE 4/5 MASTER QUEST – SPIRIT TEMPLE BOSS BATTLING THE SORCERESS SISTERS Koume and Kotake may be twins, but their magical powers are complete opposites. They will take turns attacking you with fire or ice spells. Use each sister's spell against the other with the Mirror Shield. When one witch casts a spell at you, target and reflect it back at the other sister. Move around and use the R Button to help aim the reflection. BOSS BATTLING TWINROVA After a few exchanges the two sorceress sisters will combine into one entity that can cast both types of spells. Once you've collected one type of spell in the Mirror Shield, concentrate on collecting more of the same spell while dodging the opposite type. Collect three spells and you will fire them back at Twinrova. When she is stunned, jump over and attack her with your sword until she floats into the air again. Repeat this technique until she is defeated. BROUGHT TO YOU BY: FOR SUBSCRIPTION INFORMATION, VISIT: http://www.nintendo.com/news/news_power_promo.jsp SPIRIT TEMPLE PAGE 5/5
