Belfast, in Maine’s Midcoast region,
boasts a historic waterfront dating back to
1765 along Penobscot Bay. Downtown you’ll
find 200-year-old Greek Revival and Victorian mansions, galleries, museums, arts festivals, live theater, restaurants and shopping.
Maine’s lodging tax of 7% is not included in the rate
tables below.
Visitors may take advantage of ferryboat
service to several islands, plus windjammer
cruises, sailing, kayaking, and nature cruises.
We can point you in the right direction for
freshwater or ocean fishing, either on your
own or with a guide.
Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park are
just an hour north of Moorings. Enjoy hiking or biking Acadia’s 50+ miles of trails, or
take a puffin- or whale-watching cruise.
Camden State Park has 30 miles of hiking
trails, or you can opt for a stroll at nearby
Moose Point State Park. Fort Point State
Park is home to one of several lighthouses
within an hour’s drive. The Fort Knox Historic Site now hosts Maine’s newest tourist
attraction—the breathtaking view from the
Penobscot Narrows Bridge Observatory.
For swimming, try the Belfast City Park
outdoor pool, Lake St. George, Swan
Lake...or even the chilly Atlantic Ocean!

Papa Jʼs and the Lobster Bar serves some of Midcoast
Maine's best seafood and fine wines. Weʼve taken Southern
hospitality and its famed comfort foods, and kicked it up with a
splash of Maine flavor. Specials include lamb chops, vodka cream
shrimp over penne, lasagna, surf & turf combos, fried scallops, and
baked salmon in a creamy cucumber dill sauce. Diners enjoy
delicious homemade desserts, full bar, and an exceptional wine
list. We're conveniently located on the same property as the
Moorings, and campers receive a discount on food.
