Vidya Pratishthan’s New Bal Vikas Mandir, Pimpli- Baramati VIDYA PRATISHTHAN'S NEW BAL VIKAS MANDIR PIMPLI, BARAMATI, is a private co-educational English Medium School established in 2005. The School is recognized by the Government of Maharashtra but is financially unaided. The School is owned and managed by the Vidya Pratishthan, Baramati, a Charitable Trust with the objective of catering to the educational needs of students hailing from rural areas and providing economically backward students with freeships, free hostel facilities, books etc. New Bal Vikas Mandir is conducted on the lines of a Modern Indian Public School. The Students are exposed to an environment that lays stress on discipline, academic progress as well as the traditional values, morals and customs of our Society. The school has the facilities required by a standard educational Institution, for the physical, mental and moral growth and development of its students. It has a large Campus of about eight acres and a school Building having spacious and modern classroom, Multipurpose Hall, Laboratories for Science & Computers, Library, Activity Rooms, Amphitheatre etc. There is a large playground for Field Sports and games and a Science Park. Our Vision To prepare our children for a rapidly changing world by equipping them with critical thinking skills, global perspective and respect for core values of honesty, loyalty and compassion. Our Mission It is our mission to develop in each individual learner the following. 1) Good health & physical fitness enabling the students to live a wholesome, energetic & productive life. 2) Appreciation for ethical, cultural & patriotic values as a world citizen. 3) Understanding & appreciation of cultural, scientific, technical, economic & political ideas & practices with respect to globalization and technological advancements in the world. 4) Mastery of communication & learning skills. 5) Ability to think clearly, logically & to act independently. Future Plans 1) To introduce ce a foreign language namely German/Japanese/ French as a certificate course for the students of Stds. VIII, IX & X. 2) Adventure Sports (Burma Bridge / Rock Climbing), Climbing Aeromodelling & Robotics to be part of the CoCo curricular activities. The theme was ‘Rain.’ Students of Stds V-IX participated and bagged the 3rd position. The best actor was Onkar Kadam ( Std VI A ) and the best actress was Radhika Mahamuni ( VIA ). 2) Can Democracy Survive in a country like India?’ was the burning topic for the debate competition organized by General Education Society, Mumbai on 10th September, 2014. Rohan Bankar (Std. IX) bagged the third prize as best speaker out of 48 competitors from 24 schools all over Maharashtra. 3) An Inter- School Competition ‘Wordsworth’ was organized on the occasion of centenary death anniversary year of Late Shri Gopal Krishna Gokhale by the ‘NIE GROUP’ at Kalmadi High School, Ganeshnagar, Pune on 17th September, 2014. 34 participants from 17 schools had participated in this competition. Srushti Kakade ( Senior Category) bagged the first position Akanksha Nage (Junior Category) secured a Consolation Prize 4) On the occasion of ‘Hindi Day’, Nanded City Public School had organized a Doha Recitation Competition and ‘Speeches of leaders’ competition. Suchitra Tambe, (Std VI) spoke on the topic ‘Bhagatsingh’ and bagged thefirst prize. 5) Balasaheb Devale Smruti Pratishthan had organized Manache Shlok Recitation and Moropant’s Arya Recitation Competition. Amruta Ingule from Std VI A secured the third position. 6) Vasundhara Dhumal from Std VI A received the third prize and was awarded a trophy at the Elocution competition organized by the Janhit Pratishthan’s Primary and Secondary School on account of ‘Revolutionary Day’ on 20th August,2014. 7) Various teams participated in sports competitions organized by ZillaParishad, Pune at Taluka Level, District level and Division level. i) Volleyball – Under 14yrs boys team and Under 14yrs girls team participated at Taluka level competition held at Shivnagar, Baramati. Under 14yrs girls team secured the 2nd position. ii) Skating -Roller skating race competition District level held at Balewadi,Pune 1.Vaishnavi Machale - Std VIII UNDER 14 Girls -2nd position 2 Pranali Pawar - Std VIII under 19 Girls -1st position 3 Arya Dhawan - Std VIII under 19 Girls -2ndposition 4 Vasundhara Dhumal - Std VIII under 19 Girls -3rd position 5 Ashish Soni- Std VIII under 19 Girls -2nd position iii) Swimming :Yash Shekatkar(VI B) participated in 50m free style and 50m Breast and secured 3rd position at District level competition held at Ambegaon, Pune. iv) Archery : Prathamesh Pawar (Std IX) and Pranali Pawar (Std VIII) participated in the State Level Archery Competition at Magothane, Raigad and Pranali Pawar secured the second position and received silver medal. v) BasketbaII : Our school basketball team (under 14 yrs boys) secured the second position and the boys (under 17yrs) secured the first position at the District Level Competition held at T.C. College, Ba ramati on 22nd & 23rd September,2014. 8) Ajmera Inter-School Premier League(Round 1), a Sports mega event was held Nanded City Public School, Pune from 10th to 21st Nov. 2014. Vaibhav Patil (Std. VII A) won the 3rd prize in Collage-making competition. 10) Vidya Pratishthan’s English Medium School(CBSE)had organized a Street play competition on 2nd December 2014. The students of Std. VIII participated in the street play ‘Bahujan Hitaya, Bahujan Sukhaya,’ and brought laurels to the school by bagging the 1st Prize. The topic was Literacy Campaign. 11) A Debate competition was organized by Vidya Pratishthan’s Marathi Medium School on the occasion of Hon. Mr. Sharadchandraji Pawar’s birthday. Rohan Bankar spoke against in the topic ‘Compulsory promotion for students of Stds. I to VIII’ and Ruturaj Gawade spoke for the topic. Our school bagged the first prize in the competition. 12) An InterSchool Mathematics Quiz Competition was organized by Vidya Pratishthan’s New English Medium School,Vidyanagari on 30th December 2014. Seven schools participated in this competition. Our School won the Quiz Competition. 13) Anekant English Medium School had organised various competition on 17th January, 2015.
