California DFW a “Star” at ISE The California Department of Fish and Wildlife gets a lot of flack when anything about the outdoors doesn’t go “our” way. That’s partly because most of us live in the now, while DFW must take the long view. They also must work with the Feds, businesses, environmentalists–any entity associated with water, land, forest or sky. In other words, just about everybody. Really. That’s a tough job.... But remember: there would be no fish or game without DFW! Let’s take this time to ask questions, make suggestions and thank them, too. They deserve that. ISE is proud to partner with DFW on several levels at this year’s show, including: • Discounted licenses, plus experts to answer your questions (Booth 3700) • Bringing the Director and Chiefs to talk with outdoor enthusiasts Saturday, 1:00 at the California Sportsmen Theater (Pavilion) • Activities and experts in the Youth Fair @ Expo Center (new location; still opens 3pm on Friday) • Providing bass for the Aquarium Tank (Pavilion), and trout for Lucy’s Kids’ Pond (Youth Fair) • Creating and presenting the annual Youth Conservation Award, Saturday, 3:30, at the Adventure Theater (Building A) YOUTH FAIR @ EXPO CENTER Opens Friday at 3pm • FREE Sponsored by California State Parks/OHV, and State Parks Div.
