ABOUT UNIVERSITY „VITEZ“ VITEZ University "Vitez" Vitez is a private institution of higher education that is comprised of several: Faculty of Business Economics, Faculty of Legal Sciences, Faculty of Business and Informatics and Faculty of Nursing. All of the Faculties have status of organizational unit. As an organizational unit, Faculty of Business Economics organises and carries out undergraduate/graduate (3+2), postgraduate specialist and 3-year doctoral studies with corresponding ECTS scoring system, according to Bologna. Faculty of Business Economics operates in cooperation with domestic and foreign Universities on the basis of the agreements and contracts. The Faculty publishes Proceedings and is co-editor of the international journal ,,Transition” which refers to CAB abstract. Each year Faculty organizes domestic conference on actual economic topics. In 2011 Faculty has organized first International conference,, Economic system of European Union and accession of the Bosnia and Herzegovina”. Derzhavina” Lipetsk State Pedagogical University Moscow State Regional University ISSV Summer School July 6-20, 2014 Sarajevo, Bosnia and Herzegovina INTERNATIONAL SUMMER SCHOOL VITEZ The International Summer School Vitez (ISSV) Program at the University of Vitez, Bosnia and Herzegovina (B&H) is established in 2014. Its main goal is to provide international students a great opportunity to learn about economic, cultural and traditional specifics of Bosnia & Herzegovina (B&H) together with the EU and Russia impacts. Given the geo-strategic position, B&H is a place where the cultures of Western and Eastern Europe meet and create challenging business environment for the future. B&H was recognized as a potential candidate country for EU accession in 2003 and signed Stabilization and Association Agreement in 2008, agreeing to the EU’s conditions for membership. Historic, economic and other relations with Russia create additional knowledge and experience challenges of the ISSV Program. The program and location of the ISSV offers unique environment for achieving new useful knowledge and life experience to all, and especially to international students. The International Study Programme of the ISSV “Competition, Creativity and Accession” is valued for 6 ECTS points and the successful participants are awarded with University Vitez ISSV Certificate of Attendance, provided that have actively participated at over 80% of the program activities and that have submitted individual essay text on the selected topic. It is here that eastern and western civilizations traditionally meet. Both clashing sometimes, but more often enriching and strengthening each other throughout its long and fascinating history. PROGRAMME The programme lasts two weeks and including the following topics: Economic and social facts about B&H Understanding economy, culture and history History of Western Balkans and B&H; facts for the future International position of the B&H Understanding the EU accession process Debates with business experts and/or politicians Business Highlights 2014 and creativity Business negotiations, cultural differences & avoiding mistakes Small nation in the global economy – competition challenges Contemporary conflicts – concepts and impact The four common spaces of the EU and Russia; realities and impacts GENERAL INFORMATIONS VENUTE AND FACILITIES Summer school will be held in Sarajevo. All classes will be held in Students’ Centre Sarajevo. ACCOMODATION Students are hosted in double bedrooms at the Students’ Centre Sarajevo. APPLICATION The summer school is open to the senior undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate students of economics and other social school. Fill the application from available at University web site. FEE AND SCOLARSHIPS WORKSHOPS A total fee of 600 € covers tuition, study materials, organized trips, public transportation, accommodation, breakfast, dinner and lunch. Workshops or meetings dealing with attractive and actual economic, business or social topics are part of the Summer School program. INSURANCE COMPANY VISIT Please make sure you bring your own insurance policy papers with you. We will organize visit to the selected companies in BiH. VISA AND PASSPORT REGIME SOCIAL EVENTS AND SIGHTSEEING Please, if you not sure about the visa and passport regime, contact the Bosnian Embassy in your country. A special program will offer visits to selected and most attractive parts of B&H.
