GULFSTREAM G550
Greetings from the desk of Rex McGreevy,
Gulfstream Analyst here at Charlie Bravo Aviation.
You might recall my name as I check in with you
from time to time to discuss the market. The
following pages include a detailed report on the
G550 market for your review. Additionally, I’d like
to paint a picture of where this model fits into the
Gulfstream fleet and where some of the inventory
levels and aircraft values currently stand.
Three G100s have come to market in the last
two weeks, continuing a trend of climbing available
inventory levels of the G100 and its predecessor,
the Astra. An early model Astra can be purchased at
the $1M mark while Astra SPX model ask prices
hang in the high $2M to low $3M range. G100 ask
prices linger in the $3-4M range with some
stagnant inventory sitting and some new aircraft
that seem to be priced competitively.
Ten G200s have been sold in the last three
months.
While ask prices and values seem to
continue their decline, this market moves quickly.
Average asking prices range from $5-12M. The GIII
market remains saturated with 19% of the fleet for
sale; average asking prices range from $600K to
$3.5M. The GIV market hasn’t changed over the
past 30-60 days with 13% of the fleet for sale.
Available GIVSP inventory has fallen to 6% of the
fleet.
GV inventory has increased since last quarter,
but average asking prices remain $12-22M. The
G450 market has only seen sales by the OEM in the
past few months. Six percent of the fleet is for sale;
asking prices range from $16M to $34M. The G550
market stands at 5.9% of the fleet for sale with
prices ranging from $29M to $53M.
There is
currently only one G280 listed for sale on the
market at $23.5M. No G650s are listed for sale.
Overall we have seen a slight upward trend in
available G550 inventory as we move into Q2-Q3
of 2014. Some of this inventory is a result of G550

owners getting into their new G650s and divesting
themselves of the older aircraft.
The average time on the market for a G550 is
190 days. Although average asking prices are in the
low to mid $30M range, we’ve seen ask prices as
high as $45M for a late-model G550. On the low
end, one early model G550 sold in the $24M range.
Six G550s have sold in 2014, and several are
pending, including 5253, which Charlie Bravo
Aviation represents. If you’d like a detailed briefing
of these sales, we can book time to discuss the
market or your particular aircraft. I am happy to
present you with a customized market update, hard
copy proposal and evaluation of your aircraft, and
also discuss listing services and acquisitions.
