turn-key lq barges
Two Complete LQ Barges designed and built
for operation in the North Caspian Sea.
LQ Barges designed and built for both grounded and floating
operation, all year around. The barges are self-supporting and
require food and bunker supply on a 21 day interval.
AGIP KCO TURN-KEY LQ BARGES
CLIENT/MAIN CONTRACTOR: AGIP KCO.
Year of completion and duration: Contract awarded January 2002.
Delivered March and April 2003 to the North Caspian Sea, Kazakhstan sector.
Size and weight: The barges are 95.00 meters long and 16.40 meters wide
with a weight of 2,500 tonnes.
SCOPE OF WORK: Design, procurement, fabrication, commissioning and start-up
of the complete LQ barges.
Module data:
Living Quarter: Total acc. floor area app. 2,200m2. Accomodation areas, galley
and mess, laundry facilities, storage areas, temporary refuge and muster areas,
radio control room, ventialtion and climate control, helideck.
Barge: Fresh water cooling system, fire water system, bottom jetting system,
anchoring and mooring system, towing system, navigation lights, safety equipment.
Utilities: Power generation units, sewage treatment plant, fresh water generation,
BA system, NavAid and Met system, incinerator.
Helideck: CAP 437
Regulations: Class and approval by RMR, compliant with Kazakh sanitary
authorities´ regulations and Kazakh environmental regulations for the North Caspian
region.
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Lumpsum/reimbursible.
AREA CLASSIFICATION: LQ Barge to be operated in safe area with potential
H2S contaminated environment. (Temporary refuge pressurised and equipped with
BA system capable of supporting all persons onboard for 1 hr.)
Overview of dimensions and capacities:
Suitable for operation all year round. Air: -35 to +40 °C.
Sea Water: +0 to +32 °C. Blast load 100 mBar.
Water depth 0-10 in operation (<1.2 m water depth for max. 21 days).
Draft 1.2 m with sponsors, 1.8 m without sponsors. Suitable for grounding
on prepared seabed or in floating mode.
Bunker intervals max. 21 days between supplies.
Ballast water 12 tanks, 6,700 m3. Fresh water 3 tanks, 280 m3.
Fire rating: LQ A60. Barge – as per class requirements.
Classification: Complete LQ Barge is certified by Russian Maritime Register of Shipping and Statutory regulators by Republic of Kazakhstan
Maritime Register of Shipping.
