The Oregon-based Normandy Guitars company
has taken another bold step in its entrepreneurial
venture. Founder Jim Normandy created a firstof-its-kind comic book series called Psycho Guitar
Killers, a publication from which all proceeds will
go to fund non-profits dedicated to the restoration
of music education programs in America’s public
schools and to raising awareness of the positive
impact music has on students.

communities across the country
over the past 30 years. This is our
way of giving back and helping
support a cause that is paramount
in childhood education.”

Two examples of music-based non-profits
that Normandy Guitar’s comic books
proceeds will support are: Guitars in the
Classroom and Rock’n’Roll Camp for
Girls. Guitars in the Classroom is a free,
national program that trains, supports and
encourages teachers who want to integrate
music-making in their lessons and school
activities. The Rock’n’Roll Camp for Girls
is a program that builds girls’ self-esteem
through music creation and performance.

“Perhaps the most striking guitar in this cage
match, the ATG-CH... The wide, slim neck felt good in my hands... and I had a blast performing
stutters with the seemingly military grade kill switch. When you plug in, and go to the neck pickup,
you get a deep, resonant boom along with a sharp attack that almost sounds as if you layered an
ES-175 with a Tele. The combined pickup position tames the boom a bit and moves the snark
forward to produce a taut, throaty snarl. Go for a full-on bridge-pickup tone and you’ll hear a spiky,
high-midrange snap with a shimmer of a Nashville tuned acoustic... Sounds are animated and
dimensional. Overall, the USA made ATG-CH is well constructed, the chromed finish is dazzling in its
