Safe and fun care provided for your children from 7am-6pm each weekday using age-appropriate activities, good character values, and fun themes. June 10-August 20. Registration fee $17, Y-member cost=$70 per week, Non-member cost=$90 per week, Daily rate with camps=$10, Daily rate without camps=$30. (There is a $5 weekly discount for 2ndchild in same family). Lickety Split 5K- Walk or run our summer road race as it winds through beautiful historic neighborhoods. June 15, 8am. Sign up at the front desk. Hartsville YMCA Member Non-member Preregister on or before 6/1 $20 $25 Registration on or after 6/2 $25 $30 The Kids Fun Run is a flat fee of $5. T-shirts are guaranteed to all pre-registered racers. Race day entries will be taken up until 7:40 am. Hammerheads Swim Team– Join the Hammerheads Summer Season! Our coaches focus upon bringing out the best in each swimmer and beating your last best time, not other children. Ages 5 & up. Must be able to swim the length of the pool unassisted. Practices begin April 22nd M, T & Th 4-5:30pm through June 4th. June & July practices are 8-9:30am. Cost for members is $33 per child/per month & $5 off each additional child in the family. Summer Season ends July 21st. Rent our Pool- Enjoy the use of our pool for your next birthday party, team celebration or youth group event! As low as $60 for Y members and $120 for non-members. Sign up at the front desk. Youth Spin Class– Want to be a part of the exciting indoor cycling classes? Here is your chance! Ages 11 & up. Tuesdays & Thursdays (June 11-August 15) 9:15-10am in Indoor Cycling Studio C. FREE to members. Young Professionals Camp—Rising 7th-10th graders. Ever wondered how to choose and pursue a career? Teens will travel to businesses and organizations around Hartsville to learn about careers and professionalism. Learn how to write resumes, how to interview, and more. June 3-7 & June 10-14, 9am-4pm. Y-member cost $135, Non-member cost $170. Girls Summer Circle—Rising 7th-10th graders. Young ladies meet in the Teen Center for a fresh perspective, devotion, and elevation of their goals as they learn about the week’s topic. The second hour will be a time of fellowship, snacks, and reflection as well as a time to discuss summer reading selections. June 7,14,21,28 July 12,19,26 August 2 & 9. Y-member cost $45, Non-member cost $65. Guy Time—Rising 7th-10th graders. Young men will meet in the Teen Center for a fresh perspective, devotion, and character development as they learn about the week’s topic. The second hour will be dedicated to fellowship, lunch, reflection on goals and summer reading selections. June 4,11,18,25 July 9,16,23,30 August 6. Y-member cost $45, Non-member cost $65. Basketball All Skills Camp-Ages 7-16. Under the leadership of Hartsville High Head Coach Aric Samuel, your child’s individual skills and all-around game will improve by the end of the summer. A written summary of strengths/weaknesses is given at the end of session. Wear shorts and tennis shoes. June 10 -June 13, 9:30am-12. and August 5-August 8, 9:30am-12. Y-member cost=$35, Non-member cost=$45. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm). Water Ski Camp- Ages 7-18. Veteran instructor Steve Roos delights in introducing your child to water skiing or improving his or her skills. Sign up quickly for this camp! The small camp size allows generous time behind the boat and encourages rapid progression from two skis to one. Limit 10 students. Groups will be divided by age of students. Wear bathing suit, bring towel and sunscreen. June 10-June 14, 8am -12pm. Y-member cost=$95, Non-member cost=$125. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm). Photography Camp- Ages 8-12. Campers will explore camera functions, composition, downloading, and printing. Must have a digital camera. Taught by Sherry McInnis. Meet in the lobby. June 17-June 21, 9:30am-12pm. Y-member cost=$95, Non-member cost= $125. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm). Teen “Farm to Table” Camp—Rising 7th-10th graders. Get your hands dirty and learn gardening basics as we prepare a kitchen garden, tour a working farm, and prepare fresh produce with healthy recipes. Meet in the Teen Center June 17-21, 9am-4pm. Y-member cost $75, Non-member cost $90. Miss Manners Camp and Dance Camp- Ages 5-10. Your little princess will enjoy age-appropriate skin care, modeling, table manners, and more. After lunch and a swim, they go to an afternoon dance class with experienced instructor Terrie Reames. Wear shorts and tennis shoes, bring lunch, bathing suit and towel. June 24-June 28, 10am-4pm. Y-member cost=$95, Nonmember cost= $125. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am6pm). Horsemanship Camp- Ages 5-15. Held at Foxbrier Farms and includes riding, grooming & leading, crafts, and horseshow/picture CD and pizza party at the end of the session. Wear jeans & tennis shoes/boots and bring lunch. Sign up quickly because only 8 students per session! June 24-June 28, 10am-1pm & July 29August 2, 10am-1pm. Y-member cost=$150, Non-member cost=$175. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm). Teen “Rocket STEM” Camp—Rising 7th-10th graders. Blast off your curiosity in this camp—build rockets and explore new frontiers, including a trip to the Dooley Planetarium at Francis Marion. Science, math, and technology can be fun and is the way to reach the stars! Meet in the Teen Center July 8-12, 9am-4pm. Y-member cost $95, Non-member cost $110. Cheer & Tumbling Camp- Ages 3k-3rd grade and 4th-8th grade. We will lead your aspiring cheerleader in the basic chants, cheers, jumps and beginner tumbling. Wear shorts and tennis shoes. July 15-July 19, 3K-3rd grade= 9-10:30am and 4th grade- 8th grade=10:30am-12 and August 5-August 9, 3K-3rd grade= 9am-10:30am and 4th- 8thgrade=10:30am-12. Y-member cost=$95, Non-member cost=$125. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm). Christian Values Camp- Ages rising 9th thru just-graduated 12th grade. This five-night experience located in Black Mountain, NC is the most fun and the most thought-provoking you will EVER attend. Themed mixers, talent show, family feud, devotionals, family groups, Eureka treats, and the Fire of Friendship are just a taste of what’s in store for you. Accommodations are dormitory-style and meals while on the mountain are included. Visit www.ymcacvc.org for more details. July 14-19. New participant $50 (after 5/28 cost is $85) Returning participant $100 (after 5/28 cost is $135) Requires 4 volunteer hours at the YMCA prior to camp. Fishing Camp- Ages 5-15. Learn all of the fishing basics and cast your line at private ponds. Bring snack/drink, fishing pole, tackle box, towel and sunscreen. July 22-July 26, 9am-12. Y-member cost=$95, Non-member cost=$125. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm) Teen “Our Town” Camp—Rising 7th-10th graders. Go on a weeklong scavenger hunt in Hartsville with visits to points within walking distance of the YMCA. Explore the history of our town and learn what it means to be a citizen here while hunting foxes. Meet in the Teen Center July 22-25, 9am-4pm. Y-member cost $50, Non-member cost $65. Babysitting Class – Ages 10-16. Let experienced Y staff train your youth to be a 1st class babysitter! Issues will include choosing safe & appropriate toys and games, diapering, feeding, and much more! Meet in the nursery. Class size limited to 12. July 23, 5:30-8:30pm. Y-member cost=$15, Non-member cost=$25. Tennis Camp- Ages 5-12. All ability levels will learn and play tennis in the morning with Coker College tennis coach Tom Simpson. Wear shorts, tennis shoes, and bring a tennis racquet. August 5-August 9, 10am-12pm. Y-member cost=$80, Non-member cost=$100. $10 extra to stay all day with summer day campers (7am-6pm). Adult evening tennis camp– Improve your game no matter what your level with instruction by Coker College tennis coach Tom Simpson. Bring a racquet. August 5-August 9, 6-7:30pm.
