It has been an incredible start to our new school year at St. Mark School. With this being my second year as a teacher, it’s very interesng to see how much our students have grown over the summer, especially our new 8th grade class. For technology class, we have
picked up right where we le% off last spring. My 8th grade classes have been working on incorporang QR codes into a literacy wall for
1st-3rd grade. The objecve of this is to make “Quick Readiness” links for students to read audiobooks on an iPad. With this project, my
older students get a taste of how we can use technology to help others. A new change that is happening this year will be with my 6th
and 7th grades. My second hour of Technology Educaon class will be devoted to Supplemental Research Learning. One of the main
goals is to have student learn how to best use research, correctly. The younger students are sll going through the first day basics of my
class, and learning about the parameters of our Acceptable Use Policy.
I’m very excited to see how this year progresses!
